Excellent food, poor service
I can't believe how many things went wrong with our order. Starting from the drinks, forgetting our appetizers, getting all our main courses wrong, and making a huge mistake (in their favor) on our credit card bill. The food, however, when we finally got it, was outstanding. And that made the whole experience bearable.

Saturday evening - 3/12/11
My wife and I had dinner at Bhatti Grill on Saturday evening March 12. This was our first visit to Bhatti. The food and the service were good.

Delivery order was TOO spicy
I am a big fan of Bhatti's family style lunch. It is better than buffet and the quality of the good is very good and the spice level is reasonable. Recently, I decided to do delivery for dinner. I specifically requested the food be made mild and instead it was so spicy that we could barely eat it and had to mix it with lots of yogurt. I called the restaurant and they told me that this was the regular level of spice. I am Indian so I can take spice, but this was just too much. I will not be ordering from here again even though the quality of the food is very tasty.

Great food - very small portions
I absolutely agree with the reviewer below, I love the food, but when I order for delivery I feel as though the delivery guy ate half the food on the way. Most of the restaurants in the area use the same container and the food is usually filled to the brim. The taste is excellent and better than any north indian restaurant in the area - - just wish they'd fill the containers

Smallest portions I have ever seen
I ordered delivery so I cannot speak for the dining experience in the restaurant. Delivery time took over an hour and when we got our order it looked as if someone had eaten half the food. No joke, the chicken dish had 4 tiny, nugget-sized pieces of chicken. I believe that's called a kid's meal at some fast-food places. I called the restaurant and they said that was normal. If portions are small than use smaller containers. The containers dwarfed the food giving it a very disappointing presentation. Plus, if you order a dish that normally (at other Indian places) comes with rice know that you won't get rice on the side. That's extra. Are you kidding me?? This is Murray Hill, not the UES. Portions should be big and prices inexpensive. I'm sad I dropped $30 on a happy meal. Yes, the food was delicious, but after finishing the meal I ended up eating some pasta leftovers cause I was still hungry. SMH

Delicious!!
Very very good food. I agree with the below review- the chicken xacouti was superb. We also ordered the lamb chops and the paneer tikka masala, all very good, and well worth the money. Good service too.

Solid!
Had a great meal here- the chicken xacuti was amazing- spicy and sublime at the same time. Decent naan, and nice vegetarian options too. And the fact that it's byob is so great. I'll definitely come back here again. Nice ambiance on the quieter side.
