Can't do better for the dollar or rupee

I really love this place. I lived in India for a while. I got to know Indian food and know dishes evolve and change so authenticity is not an argument I engage in. I would however say the dishes here taste like the ones I've eaten in India and some of the dishes taste even better. They have a nice selection of kebabs that would be difficult to find all under one roof. Whether you're in India or New York. The quality and preparation of all the dishes have been excellent. I'm not one that ever complains about the quantity of a dish only the quality. If I'm still hungry I just order another dish. The prices here are reasonable enough where you could do that without breaking the bank. I ordered delivery a few times and each time the food arrived without delay or without any of the usual issues that plague my orders from the other restaurants like leaky containers, or missing items....just to name a few. Also I live far from this restaurant, at the extreme end of their delivery zone. The foods always hot.

Take Out Dishes are very small!

I agree with the previous reviewer that this place has an excellent lunch deal. But when it comes to take out during dinner time, the quantity of food become very small and expensive. I will keep going back because the food is very authentic and tasty.

    The best in town!

Lunch speacial was the BEST value for $$ in the entire city. You get so much food, you get sick eating it! And that is the only meal you need to eat for the day. No menu at lunch, just veg or non veg specials. The food keeps coming and everything is super flavorful and delicious. I'm glad my coworkers took me here cause I am certainly returning for more!

    excellent kababs/bbq meats

The best food to order here are the bbq meats like Bhatti chaamps (Lamb chops), chicken malai boti & lamb boti kabab. Absolutely delicious! We ordered them with yogurt raita & Garlic naans (these are the best we have eaten anywhere)....heavenly! Sometimes it seems like the cooks changed for the night as they aren't as well cooked as some other days but still, they are the best!! Great find by our son....

    Never going back

I had my first experience at this little indian restaurant and it was not pleasant. We were a party of three and were seated right away. The wait staff was friendly and accomodated us quite nicely. After we were seated, they just asked what we wanted, there is no menu. How am I suppose to know what to order if you don't have a menu. They then told us what the specials were for the day and were rushing us to make up our minds. We settled on the dishes and the food came very fast but they insisted that we are not allowed to share, never heard this before. The food was bland, not tasty or spicy for an indian restaurant. Most of the partrons were indian, almost everyone.

    Barely recognizable as Indian

This place is not good at all. It fails on many levels. To start it was very crowded, not just busy, but crowded. To the point that I was bumping elbows with the person at the table behind me. The menu is extremely limited for an Indian restaurant, basically a choice between a handful of grilled kebobs, that all sound the same, and a few curries. The selection of breads we ordered all came out like the were cooked in a microwave. My Rogan Josh entree was tasteless with an out of the can texture. I would also put it in the a little expensive for Indian category. Go elsewhere.

    very disappointed

We had dinner here on Dec 28 at 10.30p. We were served by the manager. There was no cutlery at the table when the complimentary appetizer (papad) arrived. Even after the main course arrived there was no cutlery until we had to ask for it. They also forgot to bring the green chillies we requested as the food was bland. The food was bland even after we requested it to be spiced up! We have eaten at this resturant a number of times but the service or the food has never been this poor. When we try to complain the manager created a scene. The owner refused to talk to us. On the whole this place has gone to the dogs. I think the owner has forgotten the golden rule in customer service..." One unsatisfied customer is the beginning of the end" There were three of us.
