    Best service in NYC

My sister lives around the corner and loves this place. I am from Arizona and am always astounded by the lack of customer service in NYC when I come to visit. Not here. All the employees are friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. The dishes all have just a few ingredients, correctly done, and the result is awesome. I highly recommend the octopus appetizer, but you can't really go wrong.

    Great Food, Great Service

My boyfriend & I decided to try this place out on a whim. I must say from the moment that we were seated our waiter was very attentive & friendly. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer & they were so delicious. They also kept the bread coming without us having to ask for more. Our meals were amazingly delicious as well. I got the swordfish kebab which came with potatoes, rice and a veggie side. I definately got my money's worth. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to go again.

    Awesome

Awesome food for a VERY reasonable price. I love mediterranean food and this was right up there with the best. Friendly service also. Will definitely go back again.

    Love it!

I love this place! I have been several times and sat inside, upstairs and outside. The service and food are always GREAT! I have had the salad's, ton of different hummus' and the fish. I have loved it all! (Have not had the meat) The warm bread kept coming and it perfect for the hummus! I love coming with a group so I can try lots of different dishes. Oh and the wine list is affordable too. Service is always friendly and the atmosphere is warm and colorful! Yes you may have to wait for a table , but it is worth it! (They accept reservations too - so you can plan ahead). Try it!!!!

    a walk-in!

Hungry and desperate for a dinner bite before the Yankee game parked in this unfamiliar part of town, we walked around and were led by mystrerious forces to this perfect busy Sunday night Turish/Med cafe. I never imagined I'd have such a good meal in such a warm atnosphere on a muggy night. I ate too many onions - that's how much I loved it!

    Wonderful experience!

I have no idea what anyone on here is complaining about! I had a perfect 10 experience dining here! I went for a work luncheon and the service and food could not have been better! The hummus was better than what I had in Israel (!!) and the lamb patties were SO tasty! I really enjoyed eating here and will be back again soon!

    Awful! I'll never go back

We waited about 5 minutes for an outdoor seat. We ordered a Greek salad, appetizer of sausage (4 small round pieces that were VERY dry), Turkish wine which tasted like vinegar. We also ordered the Iskender kebab which was the worst meal I ever had in my life. First, the portion was small with nothing else but the meat. It looked like pieces of doner (gyros meat) thinly sliced on the plate. The kebab was not spiced and it had a really bad lamb after taste. I only eat lamb at Turkish restaurants because they marinate and spice it so well that it doesn't leave a after taste. We didn't eat out dinner and waited 20 minutes for the waiter to come by. I had to ask another wait staff to get our waiter. When I complained, our waiter didn't even say sorry or offer us something else. He told the manager who then came over to ask what the problem was. He was even more rude. He claimed that they had the best meat in town and for me to look at the wait.
