Today was the second incident that I had at Beyogolu where their lack of customer service was obvious! I was with a friend and when the bill came we gave 2 credit cards to split the bill. The waitress refused to split the bill saying there was a $20 dollar minimum. The bill was $30 so she would not charge $15 to each card. This is lunch and the food is not pricey so not easy to reach $20. She was rude and not apologetic. Last time I was there I ordered a salad to share with my husband and asked for the tomatoes on the side because I am allergic and he wanted the tomatoes. She refused and said that they do not do that. How hard would it be to fill such a simple request. Never again will I go.

By far one of the best Turkish restaurants in NYC. The food is always fresh, the dips are incredible, and the Turkish tea is amazing. The prices are very reasonsible.

But this place is absolutely incredible. I was sad to see that people didn't enjoy it but clearly they tried the more common foods and didn't explore and were let down because it was different. I grew up with home cooked Turkish food and this place is as good as it gets and you can walk out for $25 per person. It is rated by Michelin as one of the best restaurants under $40 per person so I am not the only one. I love this place. I go as often as possible. I havent tasted something I didn't love here yet!

There are so many good Turkish restaurants in NYC - this isn't one of them. The octopus and eggplant salads were smothered in tomatoes that didn't taste fresh. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he shrugged and did nothing to accommodate us. The donner kabob was just okay. The only way I can make sense of the good reviews is to assume that people really have no idea what good Turkish food tastes like.

I have been picking food up from Beyoglu for years (sadly, they never had delivery) because I think they have some of the best Turkish small dishes in Manhattan. I just called to place an order for pick up (at 4:30 in the afternoon) & have been informed that they only do dine in now. I could understand if they had this new policy during the lunch or dinner rush but I highly doubt the kitchen is busy at 4:30pm on a Tuesday. Why would they want to lose business?? Since my children don't like Turkish food and I don't want to have to hire a babysitter for my weekly hummus & cacik fix I guess I will have to find another Turkish place that has takeout (which, considering this is NYC, should not be a problem). Bye Bye Beyoglu!

Walked in. Place was crowded. We were greeted with a welcome and a friendly smile which isn't all that common nowadays. Place looks warm and inviting.
