This place serves beautifully fresh, simple cuisine. It is consistantly good and very inexpensive.

I think this place is very good. From the appetizers I always get the tomatoe and eggplant, spinach w/ yogurt and of course their hummus. The tomatoe soup is delicious. I'm not to into their lamb dishes. I got the the salmon dish last time i was there and it was great! Those are the only dishes ive had from their menu.

Overrated. The place is nice and the price is cheap but the food is very disappointing. It seems to please those who have never eaten a good Turkish food. We tried many appetizers and were disappointed by all so we did not order main dishes. They do not pass the basic bar of good Turkish food – the Coban Salad was dull (you could not taste lemon in the dressing) and the Eggplant Salad (Patlican Salatasi) lacked any hint of smokiness. The grilled Octopus was tasteless. The fresh spinach shallots and dill sautéed with olive oil sounds good but was just bad (it is hard to make such a dish taste so bad). Even the special zucchini cakes were mediocre. The falafel was sub par as well.

I think this restaurant is absolutely overrated. I made a reservation for 2 at 8 pm on a Friday night. We got seated around 820. The host was Russian and didn't speak a word of Turkish. The waitress was very nice and not pushy but she seemed very distressed. The menu looked nice at the beginning but the food was absolute disappointment. We ordered fried liver and shepherd's salad which are both turkish classics. Liver was tasteless and little mushy. Tomatoes, the main ingredient of the salad, were clearly the lowest quality without any taste. Salad had so little olive oil that I could not really taste it. The shrimp dish had more cheese then shrimp. I don't know where they got the recipe from but it is definitely not a Turkish shrimp dish. It was a disaster. The bass, "Levrek" was very dry. At the end we preferred not to try any desert. Beyoglu is a total disappointment. They would not be able to be in business in Istanbul with this quality of food.

I've lived in the neighborhood for years and last night is the first time we tried Beyoglu. I wish we would've tried it sooner. I loved it! I found the prices to be very reasonable, the service was great, the food delicious. Now I can understand why it is always crowded. We can't wait to go back!

I've eaten here a couple of times and have never been disappointed. The food is warm, fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, as are the waiters. Can't wait to eat here again!
