BeYUMglu
Love this restaurant--exciting atmosphere even on a Tuesday night. Delicious and abundant food--the meat was extremely flavorful and octopus moist, not chewy at all, and the potatoes taste like my grandma's. I would highly recommend Beyoglu if you're looking for something a little different from the usual upper east italian/sushi fare.

Pass this one
Bad wine, bland sword fish, indiscript beer, rubbery chicken, least damage is the vege platter. Why people come here; guess the East side has few good resturants.

Babies not allowed
This is one of my favorite UES restaurants. I was so excited to take my out of town family here for dinner until I was told (and I quote) "we are not baby friendly". I am extremely turned off and irritated. I think they need to change their attitude if they ever want me to return.

Absolutely Delicious
Beyoglu is absolutely delicious, but definitely not for everyone. If you don't like "weird meat" (aka lamb) or if you really love super-unhealthy chains where you can get "anything fried" stay far far away from this gem of a restaurant. I highly recommend the pita and hummus as an app/snack and the doner kebab as an entree.

Was great; now better without screaming kids
I for one love the fact that when I now choose to eat some of the best Turkish food in town, I don't need to listen to whining children or doting parents. The food is fantastic, as is the service and I plan to go here even more often now to make up for any business lost due to the no-stroller policy. If you want to take your kids out to dinner, that's great but one look at this place should tell you it's an intimate place, not a Chuck E. Cheese. Stick to pizza or get a sitter.

new policy...NO strollers allowed??
For many years, Beyolgu has been my local favorite. Always consistently good quality food. Recently they banned. Why? I understand maybe the need to ban strollers for dinner time, but why lunch time when it is quiet? For this reason, myself and other mommy friends refuse to support Beyolgu until they change this ridiculous policy! Please feel free to join us!

Great for vegetarians too
Please don't Ohio guy return to Beyoglu. He deserves the mediocrity of chain restaurants. I go to Beyoglu with my vegetarian friends because there is a lot on the menu that they can eat and it is all delicious.
