I dont normally review...
But this place is absolutely incredible. I was sad to see that people didn't enjoy it but clearly they tried the more common foods and didn't explore and were let down because it was different. I grew up with home cooked Turkish food and this place is as good as it gets and you can walk out for $25 per person. It is rated by Michelin as one of the best restaurants under $40 per person so I am not the only one. I love this place. I go as often as possible. I havent tasted something I didn't love here yet!

disappointed
There are so many good Turkish restaurants in NYC - this isn't one of them. The octopus and eggplant salads were smothered in tomatoes that didn't taste fresh. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he shrugged and did nothing to accommodate us. The donner kabob was just okay. The only way I can make sense of the good reviews is to assume that people really have no idea what good Turkish food tastes like.

No more take out?!
I have been picking food up from Beyoglu for years (sadly, they never had delivery) because I think they have some of the best Turkish small dishes in Manhattan. I just called to place an order for pick up (at 4:30 in the afternoon) & have been informed that they only do dine in now. I could understand if they had this new policy during the lunch or dinner rush but I highly doubt the kitchen is busy at 4:30pm on a Tuesday. Why would they want to lose business?? Since my children don't like Turkish food and I don't want to have to hire a babysitter for my weekly hummus & cacik fix I guess I will have to find another Turkish place that has takeout (which, considering this is NYC, should not be a problem). Bye Bye Beyoglu!

Great lunch spot
Walked in. Place was crowded. We were greeted with a welcome and a friendly smile which isn't all that common nowadays. Place looks warm and inviting.

Impressive
Great atmosphere, friendly stuff, very helpful . We can say its the best Turkish restaurant we've been to. The food is to die for...the Romanian waiter is excellent . You have to try this place at any cost!

The tastiest appetizers in N.Y.
For anyone looking for a delicious sampling of many small plates, this is definitely the place to go. Both vegans and meat eaters are well served here with the wide variety of offerings. The overall setting is relaxing, the servers attentive and pleasant.
