Very disappointed
We just returned from this restaurant after getting a recommendation from a friend and reading good reviews at this site. It is Halloween, so everything was weird, anyway, but that didn't make up for the desultory service and disappointing pizza. The crust was burned and the slices were dry and had practically none of the ingredients advertised on it. My husband has just made himself an omelette because he left the place hungry. Never again. We won't be returning to to Bettolona.

Blaaaannnddd!
Hard peas, limp fettucine, bland cream sauce, wilted arrugula and fennel, no plastic utensils for take out and no eye contact from server. All disappointing there are 3 far superior Italian restaurants in the same neighborhood. Choose them.

The perfect place for Italian
Bettolona has fantastic food, good prices and nice service. The restaurant is an open space and the owners are usually there to make sure you have a great meal. The crowd varies from families to couples and singles but it is usually lively and fun. Do try their specials and the pizza which is heavenly

Real Italian Experience
The food, the staff, the atmosphere... all reminds me exactly of eating out in Italy. The food is authentic, tasty, and the menu offers plenty of healthier options such as whole wheat pasta and pizza. It's also very refreshing to hear the Italian language from the staff, which is the sweetest group of people of any restaurant I've been to in this part of the city. Always a lovely experience here!

Great food served by a great team
6 months in, and already has loyal regulars, who can't have enough... the charm of the restaurant is a combination of the great food, from the pizza [brick oven, what else] to the pasta, fish and meat, to the amazing tiramisu that is as rich as it should be... to the naturally friendly and warm, but not "sticky" atmosphere the owner/manager delivers. ate there 3 times, all of which were a great culinary and social experience. will be back.

Real Italian food
Ordered Gnocchi with marinara sauce and melted mozzarelle followed by Panna Cotta and Espresso! Done to a turn. Simple delicious Italian food. Great Atmosphere, Great Service! Prices are very very reasonable!!! Don't pass it by!
