The pizza is very good. They are ultra thin crust and and strike an excellent balance in their application with sauce, cheese, and ingredients. The problem with the restaurant lies in its service. Particularly with the deliveries. The deleivery zone seems to change night by night and it's clear they do not value it as a part of thier buisness plan. It's a shame as myself and several neighbors would order far more frequently should they apply some more attention to that part of the operation. There are few places in the neighborhood that match the quality of the pizza offered at Bettola , so it is a real disapointment that the are so hard to get to your table. They easily top much of their competiton on the UWS and should easily be a regular order spot for many people.

I went there last night with a group of friends. We thought the food was pretty good. I had the special pasta with crab meat which was ok. I didn't see that many pieces of crab meat and thought they put too much capers. My other friends had pizzas which were really good..especially the prosciutto one. The portion size for pasta is not that big.

We are regulars at this place! The food is great for how casual the restaurant is and the servers are very friendly. I definitely recommend the grilled calamari over mixed greens, the grilled asparagus appetizer, and the pizza! This is an UWS must!

We came to bettola for the first time last week. All of us left very pleased I loved the food and friendly service. All I can say just go there and try.

Stumbled in on a Sunday afternoon to a pleasant brunch. Omelets were above excellent and couldn't stop myself from getting dessert. Experience was pleasant, a nice quiet spot for an afternoon, not pretentious but simple and had a wonderful time for two. Looking forward to going back for dinner.

I am italian, I read the reviews on this website, I've been to Bettola many times, and to many other "Italian" restaurants in the area, i know that this restaurant's food is authentic italian. The comments of food posted below are obviously from people that think italian is pasta and meatballs, cesar salad, etc. For us italians, and specially me being a chef, food is very important, I go to Bettola often and think the food is very authentic italian from certain regions, very well cooked and presented.

Went here with a group of friends Friday night. Food was really good. Service was spotty, table was a bit cramped, but good over all.
