Nice and healthy
I am pretty disappointed. Although the service was fast, the fries, hamburgers, and hotdog that I got were all old. The bread on the hotdog bun was hard, and you tell it had been heated up in the microwave, or had been sitting in a warmer. Next time make it fresh!

I'm a vegetarian, but...
I really like the soy burgers here. They aren't very big, but they ARE yummy. The baked fries are disappointing, but the smashed potatoes are really good. Salads are good, and probably the best value on the menu. The choices of condiments are great. Smoothies are a little too sweet. All in all, I think the place is a great burger joint, but I've never actually tried their hamburgers. I usually get delivery, but sometimes eat there. Delivery is fast (usually about 20 minutes) and they keep your phone number on file, so you don't need to keep repeating it every time you call an order. Eating there is ok. It's clean with a nice mod look, but it usually takes about 15 minutes to get your food, which is longer than I want to wait. This is the kind of place where you want to get your food fast, eat it and leave.

Better than what?
In my quest for a "Better Burger" I stopped by one day (new years eve day in fact) and decided to pony up for the expensive burger at Better burger. This burger was expensive! (for what it was) yes I am quite sure the ingredients were top notch (it was a tasty burger, I'll give them that) however I rate burger on a 5 point system 1- Taste- Yes this burger was in fact tasty 2- Construction (eatability)- Yes there is too much of a good thing and condiments were too liberally added here, so much so that it became "dagwood like" 3- Toppings fixins and amenities- Many good, fresh, tasty & innovative fixins & condiments to be had here, however see #2 TOO MUCH STUFF!! 4- Price- THIS BURGER WAS TOO PRICEY for what it was anyway. 5- Service- Yes the burger was made VERY fresh, however it took WAY too long BOTTOM LINE- too pricey to eat on any kind of regular basis. Worth a curious try, but not a "regular Joe" kinda place.

Pretty Good Food, Disappointing Service
We live right around the corner, and we are so happy there is a Better Burger in our neighborhood, if only as a break from the awful veggie burgers that seem to have a monopoly on the diners in NYC (you know, those oat-mealy ones with the peas and carrots?). We are vegetarian, and like the variety of veggie burgers here. We also like the different sides, soy cheese and vegan desserts. However, the last time I was there, I placed and order and didn't give a tip, thinking since I'm just waiting for my food and not being served, and they're not delivering to me, why should I give a tip? I'm not sure if this had any bearing on what happened next, but when I got home, I opened the wrappers and noticed that they neglected to include the soy cheese and fake Canadian bacon on BOTH burgers. What's up with that? I think the young people working the registers were pissed I didn't leave them a tip and did it on purpose, but I'm probably just being paranoid. However, to their credit, my wife went back and pointed this out, and the manager offered us free burgers for our next visit. It was probably just an honest mistake, but still: how intelligent do you have to be to fulfill a burger order? Like other reviewers, we've also experienced unbelievably slow delivery service, so we don't do delivery anymore. Also, it is a bit expensive, and the fries are soggy. Also, don’t believe what the label says: the "Fresh Squeezed" orange juice is NOT fresh squeezed, at least not by Better Burger. It tastes like it's from a can. I make fresh squeezed orange juice at home a few times a week, so I know what it tastes like. I even asked the girl at the register if they had oranges in the back, and she said "not that I know of." So, just be aware that when you pay a premium price here for fresh squeezed juice, that's not what you are getting. Our advice is if you want a decent experience, don’t do delivery or take-out and don’t order the fries.

Yummy Burgers
I love Better Burger. My favorites are their chicken and turkey burgers (much better then having a plain turkey sandwich or chicken breast). Also, when I am in the mood for fries, nothing beats their guilt free version. Haven't had a delivery problem, not as fast as the chinese restaurant but definately worth waiting alittle longer.

The food here is great. It's a little steep at $14 for a very small smoothie, a cheeseburger and a side...but I think it's worth it for a once-in-a-while treat. I've eaten at Better Burger since I moved to the city in June and I've always enjoyed the food (even if the fries are a bit soggy.) However, I ordered Better Burger for lunch today from this location and have never been so disappointed by delivery people in my life. My delivery person claimed not to have any change for my $20 bill. Who ever heard of a delivery guy in the middle of the lunch rush without change? I was surprised but my coworker later explained to me that they do this all the time, hoping that you'll just let them keep the $20. I tip well, probably twice what I should, but a nearly 50% tip is out of even my range. I'm done ordering from Better Burger. If thier delivery people are trying to take advantage of their loyal customers, then I have no intention of being a loyal customer anymore.

Poor delivery service
First I'll start off by saying that I love the food at Better Burger - the veggie burger is great, fries are delicious, and smoothies are yummy. But, I'd sacrifice it all if I have to keep dealing with their poor delivery service. Usually they run over an hour, which is ridiculous when my order is usually very small. And just today, again when it was running well past an hour, I call to check the status and she told me that the delivery guy was downstairs waiting, they asked the front desk and the person said, "No one ordered from there and that person doesn't work here" and they tried calling my number numerous times and someone else answered and said "I'm not <insert my name> and I didn't order from you." Now while I understand that I'm sure she didn't make up that story - the fact that she would not acknowledge that it was indeed THEIR fault that somehow they must've messed up both my address and phone number, because theres no way that story could've been true at my business and no one else answers my phone and there were no voicemails left at all. SOOO this is me venting, because it's been an hour and a half since I ordered my lunch and its STILL not here. Definitely not worth it to order for delivery. If you're close to a Better Burger location, then I guess its worth it for the food to walk in and get it.
