Amazing. Two of us shared the calamari, shrimp, and corn fritter appetizers and the beef main course. That plus a huge beer and glass of wine was $100 all in, I thought an amazing value. The food was incredible. We were blown away by every dish, and the service was extremely friendly and super attentive (maybe a little too attentive). I will definitely go back.

During my first trip to New York City, I was blessed with the opportunity to go here! Incredible food and even better service! There is so much variety and the sesame ice cream was the greatest. My only concern was the pricing, but then again it IS in New York! Recommended definitely. Since I'm moving there in the fall, I can't wait to go back and visit!

Great experience. Sat at the bar while we waited for our table, which only took about 10 minutes. Got delicious cocktails and chatted with the bartender. The food was fantastic, however the portions are tapas-sized despite being priced like individual entrees. One of our items was smaller than it was supposed to be so they brought us complimentary dessert without us even having to ask or comment. I'd definitely go back.

My husband and I loved Betel. We went in a large group which was perfect for sharing the small plates. I would love to go back for a romantic date night. The food had amazing flavor, some of which I had never tasted. I was glad we got to try a variety of plates which makes me appreciate Betel even more since I loved everything that came out of the kitchen.

Food is too sweet. portions are too small so we left still hungry and out 50 bucks each. Serving staff charged us the wrong amount.

food was really unimpressive, seating is werid, the bar seating in the middle is strange and uncomfortable. the food is not what was expected at all... :(

Last night I decided to try out this restaurant after reading so many mixed reviews but hearing from people how wonderful it was. And when I left after spending over 3 hours I now know not to believe anything i read about restaurants. We walked in without a reservation to a somewhat empty restaurant and were quickly greeted by John the manager asking us how we were doing this evening. After being offered practically any table we wanted we decided to sit at the bar with Mary- the AMAZING bartender. She guided us through through the "family style menu," and made us the most incredible cocktails (do try the BOLD fashion). We werent too hungry so we decided to get 3 apps and 2 entrees for the 4 of us which was plenty but I definitely could have eaten more. When we left we were drunk happy and full and could not wait to go back again to try other menu items.
