    Solid Corned Beef

I only go here for the Corned Beef Sandwich and the price and the quality is pretty good. It satisfies my cb cravings since 7th Avenue and 54th Street is too far from where I work.

    Amazing and a Great Staff

Me and my wife walked right past Berger's Delicatessan but we had to stop to check out their sandwiches. We got a turkey sandwich on a hero which is enough to feed two, if not three people. We then went on to get a chocolate cake desert which was great, but not the best. Food is splendid and even though its a tad bit expensive, its worth every penny.

    This is a Deli?

While the food at Berger's is OK at best, this is another example of what a Deli is not! Bacon, cheesebugers, mozzarella sticks, and ham. This is nothing more than a fancy sandwich shop. Where is the tongue, roll beef, kosher salami, and the all-but-lost specials (a natural casing frankfurter). Today, if you serve "NY style" sandwiches, you're a deli. Wrong! With that logic, Quznos and Subway are also delis. A real deli doesn't serve cheese on their sandwiches and doesn't have bacon available. It's not that the place has to be kosher to be a deli, it has to offer a particular menu. Does serving sushi in a Chinese restaurant make it a Japanese restaurant? NO! So, just by serving sandwiches DOES NOT make a deli. Wraps, cappuccino, and panini...does that sound like deli food. New Yorkers unite, take back delis so that you know what you should be getting in a DELICATESSEN! Second Avenue Deli (a real NY deli),

    Great Food Great Prices

My husband and I spent 5 days in new york and had lunch at bergers twice. The mushroom barley soup and matzo ball soup were good. The corned beef sandwich @ $7.95 was enough to feed two people. The salads were freshas was anything we ordered on the menu. When you see the locals lined up you know they have something good going. You won't be sorry.

    Consistent and good

Berger's has always been consistently good, not out of this world, but good, solid food. Efficient delivery. Good corned beef. Good onion rings. They've got Dr. Brown's which is a plus. Berger's won't disappoint.

    Wow!

Terrific corned beef. Great cole slaw and pickles. A tad pricey but well worth it. Please open another place downtown near 32/33rd. There's nothing here.
