Great Vietnamese In Billyburg
Really Authentic stuff, with hard to get dishes. Pomelo/shrimp salad? Banging. Pho? Banging. Sammiches? Banging. It sucks that they are open 3 days a week, but it makes you look forward to it. highly recommended

Not good
I tried to order numerous times from this place only to discover they are only opne 3 days a week. I finally order and it turns out these vietnamese sandwiches are not authentic at all. Really average.

Great food, great deal
This place is really great. I can't wait till they get their own spot and are open every night! The food is clean and delicious, and a really reasonable price. The staff is very sweet, totally unpretentious dining experience. I like amazing food, and sometimes have to accept the lame vibes that can along with nice restaurants. This place is great when I just want a great, mellow meal that isn't overly decadent or pricey. Love this spot!!

My great day just got greater
First of all, I rarely write reviews. In fact, I think this is my first. However, this deserves it. Today was a gorgeous day and I decided I wanted to eat outside after my workout. I've been meaning to check outt Simple Cafe but when I got here I saw that it was bep today and I liked Vietnamese and knew it can be light and healthy. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi and it blew my mind. First, the baguette is perfect. Crusty outside, soft inside. The pork holds soo much flavor. The cilantro was fresh, the pickled carrots were flavorful but not too strong and sweet and there was the perfect dallop of mayo. DEFINITELY coming back for this and telling all my friends!

Love this place!
I love coming here for good Vietnamese food. Everything is light and really fresh and so tasty. I am obsessed with the chicken wings and the crispy fried rolls. Their specials change every week and the three that I've had were all delicious. I love their catfish vermicelli and pho on a cold rainy day. I am so glad it's in my hood!

Very good food, super cheap prices, incredible value
Bep as big shortcoming: it only opens 3 days a week. But damn, it's goooooooood. I am no fan of Asian food, but this Vietnamese cuisine is (1) very good (the vermicelli bowl is de-li-cious), (2) healthy (it feels good to eat there, and it doesn't feel like you'll get fat or cancerous) and (3) it's inexpensive, like 5.5 dollars for the sandwich and 8 dollars for the bowl, and honestly it's hard to find that kind of value, especially for healthy food, in NY. Anyway I err beside the point, which is "Bep is an extremely safe choice when it comes to find a restaurant that is good, inexpensive and original".
