    Great Deli

Ate here a while back, forgot to post but am doing so now. People like to go to The Carnegie (ugg), Katz's or 2nd Avenue Deli, but you can't bet Ben's for service, price & quality of food, plus you don't get abused for the privilege. Actually kosher, as is 2nd Avenue, but not as expensive, off the beaten path a bit, but worth it!

    Great Food, Selection and Price!

Finding a Good, Kosher Deli in the Metro Area is becoming harder to find these days. Ben's is a real find. I have been there several times and prefer the weekend when the Garment Center is practically empty and you can dine in a relaxed atmoshere. If only Ben's would come to New Jersey . . . so in my and my wife's case . . . until it happens . . . it's off to Ben's in Manhattan! PS . . . Try the Pastrami or the Tongue and the Cole Slaw is homemade and is GREAT!

    Worth searching for!

Ben's was recommended to us by the visitor's center concierge at Macy's - we specifically wanted an off-the-beaten-path deli in the Herald Square area. Ben's hit the spot. Palm stretching sandwiches, sublime coleslaw, and WAY sour pickles. My wife had an open-faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes (the real thing, not out of a box.) What caught us off-guard was the size and decor of the restaurant. High ceilings with fabric treatments, colorful - really outstanding. Service comes with a sizeable side of attitude, which seemed appropriate. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

    Not your Average Deli

Fantastic food here. Great place to meet for dinner. Lunch is wonderful, too. Excellent choice of food and good prices. Very clean and friendly. There's a bar/deli and nice sit down tables and booths. Quick service. Have the pickles for appetizers and the chocolate cake for desert!

    Working man's sandwich

I only had take out however, Pastrami was great, preparer was jovial and helpful. A good value in a quiet un-sung mid-town location.
