Excellent food, poor service and value

The food is delicious but eating in the restaurant is noisy and crowded. Deliveries are sometimes cold, people not very polite on the phone. I just go back for the food.

    Fantastic

I love Benny's Burritos. The chicken burrito is great. While it could be cheaper, and the staff more friendly--- my burritos are always tasty!

    Love It

I was there last night and i loved the guacamole and the grilled tofu burrito. The margaritas are pretty good as well! The waiter was pretty cool and nice. No complaints at all. I love bennys.

I don't think it is very hard to make a good burrito. You need tasty meat and rice, some cheese, sour cream, and a few other fixings. I am a huge Chipotle fan, but Benny's is on my way home, while the Chipotle on St. Marks is west. I thought, how bad could a burrito be? I found out the answer at Bennys: not good. The chicken was slimy, the rice not fully cooked, and I had to pay extra for a few tomato dices! The total - for a handful of chicken pieces, a tablespoon of rice, and ten tomato chunks neatly rolled in a whole wheat wrap - came to $10.

    Benny's Saved My Life!

When I first moved to Manhattan in the mid 80's, had it not been for Benny's eat in and take out, I may simply have starved to death! Since that time, a lot has changed. The neighborhood, our government adopting Fascism, and me in terms of diet (RD is, a low carber... now) I hardly eat there anymore, but I'm sure it is as good as back in the day. The Frozen Margaritas are the best, biggest and baddest in the EV, and the waitstaff is some of the coolest I've encountered (though their beacon server has left for another career). At least the Punk/hardcore musician is still in the house. Tip: The grilled chicken Fajita burritos are better than the regular chicken. I sighted Deborah Harry eating there once so how can you complain?

Read the other reviews so thought I'd give this place a try. Ordered delivery. Guy on the phone was rude. Should've hung up. There was not one crisp chip in my 3-bean nachos, in fact there were hardly any beans at all. It was just one big soggy and slushy mess. The sweet potato fries were drenched in oil. I am not a fussy eater but everything was inedible.

    Great mexican cuisine

Chicken burritos are out of this world. Try the quesadillas also. Chipotle sauce is excellent and don't forget to try the mango salsa.
