damn good burrito
looved it... the burrito showed up like fifteen minutes after I ordered and it was so.. damn... good I almost ordered another one

this place rocks and the burritos are delicious and the guacamole is scrumptious and the margaritas delicioso and everything is just wonderful about this place! benny's burritos eres la leche.

Why do people line up for sub-Taco Bell?
Just moved to the West Village and couldn't help but be intrigued by the constant lines and seeming buzz about Benny's. Finally decided to give it a try last night and was incredibly dissapointed. You can tell alot about a Mexican Restaurant by it's chips and salsa .. and bulk chips from Costco with Pace picante sauce is a bad start. Ground beef was lousy .. chicken overspiced with store-bought Lowry's sesaoning packets. Do yourself a favor and buy a frozen burrito at the grocery strore.

rude waitress & drinks after food & $3 spinach
We should have left after we asked the hostess how long the wait was and she valley girl responded "Uh, I don't know 10-15 minutes?!" Anyway we didn't, our fault. Our experience continued down hill; our drinks came after our food (SO ANNOYING) and I asked for spinach in my non-dairy burrito and was charged $3 for the spinach. I would have argued with the waiter but the drunk people next to us were so annoying I just wanted to leave. Don't go.

Love this place
I used to live in New York and visit every time I go back. I would recommend to anyone..especially the grande strawberry margaritas on happy hour!

yay! burritos!
i order here several nights a month and im always satisfied and eat the rest the next day... dont understand the negative reviews. ive never been to the actual place so i cant say anything about the atmosphere or the waiters, but i certainly cant complain about the food!

I second that...
I'm surprised by the reviews. I order from Benny's frequently. I'm from SoCal, so my standards of Mexican are pretty high. I often get the Bay Beef Burrito, eat half, and eat the rest for lunch. The burritos are huge and are reliable. This place isn't a 5 star restaurant, but I'm a fan and don't understand the haters.
