Great food downtown
The food is amazing and the gets to your table within minutes. The service might be sketchy at times, but if your a regular, your treated like a king with warm welcomes and goodbyes. Best of all, great prices (especially from the lunch menu).

Delicious McGricious!
I don't know what the guy below is talking about. No good restaraunts on Fulton Street? He/she obviously has some kind of weird personal history with Fulton Street. Anyway, Bennie's is excellent and they have the best lunch specials. Get the Pork with String Bean. The currys aren't so soupy like alot of Thai places and they have great appetizers! One time I went and they brought me the wrong thing and I just ate that because it looked really good and it was! Cheap lunch specials ($5) and nice, efficient staff.

Another mediocre fulton st. restaurant
I heard good things about this place so I checked it out for lunch one day. I had the pad thai, usually a reliable item to order. It was saucy, not good quality, and not any cheaper than nearby (and better) thai restaurants. I live in the financial district and know not to order from any restaurants on fulton st.

Quick, cheap, delicious Thai - a winner!
The restaurant is ALWAYS uncomfortably packed, and thus the wait staff tends to rush you, but if you get a corner table and don't let their impatience and curtness bother you, it's a great restaurant. The appetizers are small but utterly delicious. Their pad thai is stellar and their coconut curry dishes are great too. The vegetables are fresh. The food is much better than most of the chic-er, more spacious Thai restaurants I've tried in Hell's Kitchen or the Village.

Not recommended - misleading quantity
Not recommended for take out. Our order of half duck (P1, P2) have less than a quarter of duck meat. Lots of sauce, but not much value. Meat/entree comes with decent size boxes, but only half full. The food tastes generally is okay, but misleading guantity.

Bang for your buck authentic Thai
I've just learned of Bennie's recently. Only been three times. The first time I had the Spicy Duck (Chef's Specials) which was unbelievably great for the price ($12.50, I think). The duck was crispy as advertised and has a whole bunch of crunchy vegetables in a spicy red sauce (which, although delicious, was also very oily... for those of you who are concerned). I also have tried the Spicy Yellow Curry with chicken and it was excellent, for 8 bucks I don't know where you could do better, unless you fly to Thailand. Also tried out their delicious pad thai, which was solid, though nothing spectacular. I look forward to getting their noodles dishes as they have some sexy looking photos up (like a chinese restaurant) which had me mesmerized as I waited for my to-go orders... I haven't actually sat down here yet (not a whole lot to look at except the service and other customers.) As for take-out, it is up there with my favorites after only three visits! Go and try it out!

Good everyday thai delivery
In this area we are lucky to have three really great thai resturants - Bennie's, Sang Thai, and Lemon Grass. But Bennie's is the one our family orders from most often. The food is reliable and good and the delivery is fast. We like the Pad Thai, Tofu with curry, and Vegitarian Delight.
