Great Service - Great Deli Experience
We went Saturday night before Jersey Boys. $4 drafts and Appletinis for the Ladies. Started with appetizers and ended with Reubens and Pastrami. Each sandwich was piled high. My wife ordered a Pasts and Chicken dish. She didn't like it. Our waiter took it back, brought her another meal of her choice, "fast" and didn't charge us. New York at it's best! Off to the show, back afterwqards for more drinks and dessert. Greated by the staff like we had been coming for years. I would highly recommend this deli!

Store bought???
I ordered their gefilte fish, for 4 bucks(!). It looked and tasted like it came right from the jar at the grocery store. Something I never buy, no explanation needed. They should check out some kosher delis and make it the same delicious, homemade way that they do....

WE ALWAYS GO WHEN IN TOWN, EXCELLENT MUFFINS!!!
I read the reviews and coulnd´t believe somebody didn´t like BenAshs place. I live in a 3dr world country and I DON´T complain about the prices. NY is expensive. Love the muffins, cheesecake, sandwiches, big portions, and if you go twice in a week they remember you, and always with a smile. I will order some blueberry muffins by email, and really hope tell be here soon!!

Great Experience!!!!
I am sorry that a lot of you had a bad experience, but we went there twice and where loving it!!!! Our server was a girl who was very sweet and attentive. We had cheesecake and cappucino's. They were both amazing. Best cheesecake ever!!!! And the coffee was excellent. We even ordered one to be sent home to friends. The second time we where there, we ate wonderful pateries and coffee again. Nothing but polite and wonderful service. We did not eat lunch or dinner here, so we did not experience those high prices, but it's New York. We went to a lot of places that were high priced!!! Like the chain restaurants!!!!!! And those places were rude, not Benash! I would recommend this place and we WILL be going back!!!

hooked from the first minute
gladly got haggled into stopping by for happy hour by a guy outside spinning a menu in his hands!!! great atmosphere, and the food (although expensive) could feed a small family... decided to stop by again the very next night and they recognized us straight away. bartender even remembered our drink order!

You can't be serious.
We ordered a diet coke and then realized the details of the menu. The prices are absolutely absurd and have caveats to add even more to the cost. Cocktails cost 50 cents extra WITH ice and $1 extra WITHOUT ice... Whaaaa? We got out of there before they could find a way to crank up the colst of our single soda and on the way out, an employee scolded us and asked us why we were leaving... DON'T GO unless you're doing so for a glass of water and a good laugh.

Unforgettable!
I'm going to echo many of the comments about this place, but I have to vent. Unforgettable only as a brazenly overpriced tourist trap with mediocre (at best) food. My wife and I had the misfortune to stop in for breakfast one weekend morning and were seated at a wobbly table (not the only one) and served watery coffee. The portions were enormous. I received a mound of bacon with my three eggs. Half the bacon was cooked to the consistency of beef jerky. The other half was barely cooked at all. My wife's order was wrong. I'm still in shock that I actually paid for this experience.
