We found this place by accident and they suck you in with a display of baked pastries. Inside it's not as expected. High prices and everything came with fries. Even the Omlette came with French fries. The French onion soup tasted like pain thinner

Im still wondering how can such a restaurant is still open on a 7th avenue NYC. Food was tasteless, absence of waiters, slow service and unclean. I wish I knew before getting into this place. First & last, will never go again & a good advice, don't go there

Hugely disappointing. I would strongly urge everyone to AVOID this place. The food took forever to arrive and when it did, it was cold and overcooked. The waiter was useless and never checked on us, never cleared anything off our table - nor anyone else's as there were several tables around us with dirty dishes long after the patrons had left. The manager had a stand up fight with a customer at the table right next to us and the chef stood smoking in the kitchen near to our table with an open door! To top it all off, it was all completely overpriced and a total rip off! You've been warned. Wish I had been.

The restaurant looked aged, the floors were a mess, the restromms were almost a mess, there was very little room to walk back there, and the prices were outrageous, even for New York. AND, there was a $7 sharing charge for a piece of cheesecake- the same for getting a second piece. We will never go back.

I ordered a kettle One martini. I got a yellow drink! All vermouth. I asked for either more vodka or just a Kettle One with no vermouth. What I got was the same drink given back to me! I again refused it and asked for straight Kettle One. I got straight vodka but it sure wasn't Kettle One! Then they had the gall to charge $10 for the drink and $4 additional! Food wasn't good either. Never ever go there!

I went in there to eat but the prices of the food were absolutely the highest I've seen in this area so then I figured I'd try the baked goods they looked good so I'll get something for later well the cookie had to be on the shelf a month it was unappetizing. I would never go there again because if the cookie was that old who knows how old the food is with thoses prices!

Like others, my wife and I wanted to hit Carnegie's for lunch, but of course, too crowded. So we just walked across the street. Yes, the prices are pretty high, but I had a hot corned beef that was excellent and the same for the chicken salad my wife had. Since there was tons on each sandwich, half got saved for the ride home. Cheesecake was wonderful. So I'm not sure what everyone else was talking about, but our experience was definately worth it. And this of course during holiday season in NYC.
