    Love the place!

    I believe that was the best meal I ever had! The food was fantastic and the other customers were very entertaining. I love N.Y.!

    If only it looked as good.....

    Fabulous food, amazing folks working there, and one of the ugliest restaurants in New York City. But I can't not go there -- I adore this place.

    A Northern Italian Gem in Hell's Kitchen

    I have been an ardent fan of Bello's for over 12 years. The highest compliment I can pay is that, on an island full of alternate choices, I have enjoyed their cuisine and service over 100 times . Their daily special, Stuffed Veal Chop, (stuffed with spinach, prosciuoto and mozzarella) sitting in a light marsala suace, should be enjoyed by everyone at least once. It's bone hangs off your plate. Each bite melts in your mouth. Bring an appetite for this one (or share it). Their succulent Sea Bass with "Red"sauce will haunt your dreams. Don't confuse Red sauce with Southern Italian tomato sauce. It is a sort of Putanesca Sauce, perfectly heavy in the garlic department. For appetizers, I recommend Portabello Mushrooms or Mussells in "red "sauce. Dip their sensational bread in the sauce as well. Superb. The drinks are generous and well made. The service is immediate and invisible. Numerous qualified waiting staff are at your side upon the most discrete signal and always cordial. You will be surprised at the reasonable tab ... one of the best values in the city. I once saw Paul Simon here. While he was leaving he complimented owner. You too will not be disappointed. I have never been.
