    Best kept secret

Outstanding food moderately priced. Never had a bad meal in the 20 years have been going there.

    One of my Faves!

I've been going to Bello for over 16 years. The StuffedVeal speciial is insane! It's enough for three people and it's fantasticl! Got to try it. Don't forget the Chix Parm......it's wonderful and it flows off of the plate. A+

    Not recommended

Based on the reviews on this site, my husband and I decided to try this place in our neighborhood. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are pleasant, but the food is not worth the high prices. The fried calamari sure was FRIED- it was questionable if there was indeed calamari in the mix. The sea bass was good, but honestly we were at Blue Water Grill one week ago, and had a MUCH better plate of sea bass for less money! The fettucini alfredo was mediocre. The best part of the meal was dessert- tiramisu, and I must admit is was very good as well as generous in size- but it should be for the price.

My husband and I were there on May 16th. This was our second visit after being there last May. On both occasions, I would describe the food as just average . . . . nothing extraordinary. In fact my veal saltimboca was dry and overly salted. While the service is professional, it is anything but friendly. Entrees are served with a plate of boiled potatoes, green beans, and carrots that are rather tasteless. We would have preferred a side order of pasta.

    Bellissimo is Bello

Bello was fantastico! A perfect companion dinner to an evening at The Met. The pasta is primo and the waitstaff are pro?s. Had the calamari fritti for an appetizer and the calamari diavolo con linguini for the entr?e. Extremely delicious both. Can?t recall what pasta dish Kate had, but she found it delicious also. Reservations suggested ? it was packed, and loud. Nice d?cor ?large oil paintings of Italian villages.

Whenever we come to the city, our daughters ask us where we want to go for dinner. We always say Bello. In the finest tradition of European Cuisine, this restaurant spells professionalism at its highest. Why would we go anywhere else with such excellent food, caring service, and wonderful ambiance?
