Wow, what can I say. I had heard about this restaurant through some friends, so I decided to give it a try. I do a lot of traveling through the United States so I eat out alot. The food I orderd here was delicious. I decided to try their Salmon for dinner and it was the best Salmon that I have ever eaten. The wait staff, along with the waitress that served us were very professional and nice. They were attentive and very helpful. My husband and I ate at several other restaurants while in the city, and they didn't have near the quality. The next time we are back in New York, Bello Squardo will be our number one stop for eating out. I can't wait to try their other dishes.

Decent for the price

Just to put the following in context, my wife and I eat out several times per week. Restaurants we visit range from Jo-Jo and Bobby Vans (on E. 54th St.) to Banjara and Frank in the East Village. Bello Sguardo is a rare find. There are places with really good food and places with low prices, but getting both in one very pleasant restaurant is rare. The service was professional and courteous and the wine list had a good mix of varieties and prices. Pros: Everything. Cons: None

Strolling along Amsterdam's restaurant row checking out menus. This restaurant had excellent menu lots of choices, lots of specials and 3 course prix fixe @$19.99. We chose tapas everything was well prepared and very tasty. Can't wait to return to try the pastas and Morraccan Dishes!

I have been a regular at Bello's for over 4 years, and I have to say not only is the food great ,but at these prices, you can actually go home with some money in your pocket. Insider tip: sitting at the bar is great for people watching and the staff is always great at giving advice if you are stumped. From wonderful wine to the great pasta dishes, its a treat, and I am glad I found it.

I went here with a large group. The servers were very accomodating about moving tables together for us and they got everyone's order correct. The prix fixe menu is a great value and absolutely delicious. Extensive wine list as well. I was very impressed.

Since Kefi moved locations I was looking for a new place that had a similar style. I had passed Bello Sguardo numerous times and saw they had tapas etc but never tried. Finally about a month ago I tried it and have been back three times already. The food is fabulous and at a reasonable price. The service was a tiny bit slow but fine and everyone there is extremely nice. I think this is a neighborhood gem!
