Bella Vita

Atmosphere was cozy and the service was fast. There isn't much of a variety on the menu but the panini's are really good and portion size is decent. Basically it was a pretty good deal for being in the area, where restaurants usually hike up prices. You can get a good meal for about 8 bucks. Not bad!

I am of Italian origin and lived in Rome for three years. I was used to my daughters getting fabulous Pizza Margherita on their way to school and I sometmes got it too. Never in the USA, thougn, have I found the same taste. That is, until the Marriott concierge suggested Bella Vita Brick Oven Pizza and Italian Resaturant. I wasm't very hungry and decided to walk to the place and get a small carryout order. When I opened the door and inhaled, I thought I was back in Rome. I walked to the counter andn spoke to someone serving small brown spheres of golden bread covered with olive oil and cheese, flecked with parsley. I asked what it was and instead of directly answering, he said, "Try this." I did and replied, "You are like a drug dealer! This stuff is so good!" Then I ordered some of the Pizza Nuggets, as they are called and a single slice of Pizza with nothing but Margherita sauce and mozzarella. Again, I was surprised again, in prticular with respectg to the tomato sauce. I found Chris, and told him that I knew his secret--and when I told him, he agreed. Let me say that this place is fabulous and I recommend it highly. I saw many of the dishes prepared there and they look great. Chris and the staff are neat, clean and happy! THis is a must for me when I return to the Big Apple!

Found this restaurant by chance because it was near our hotel. I had to go over and tell the owner how great the food was and how superb the service was. Great food for kids and dark, cozy atmosphere for couples. Very impressed and would definitely go again.

I did not go there so I can't speak for the atmoshere, but the pizza delivery was fantastic. These guys must be a spin off of Patsy's because the pizza tastes similar, but they are not too snobby to deliver it to me. Terrific thin crust, brick oven pizza with fresh mozz and basil. Came faster than they advertised, so thumbs up! I will be ordering my pizza from here from now on.

This is a must go to restaurant. Not only is the service wonderful but the atmosphere is fun. We LOVED this restaurant. The owner made us feel so welcomed and we would go back again when we return to NYC.
