Great Find!
I've recently started coming to Bella Luna out of pure curiosity.. just tried it with some friends since I see it often since I've moved to the neighborhood. The food is excellent.. the fish special is always great, and there are many delicious pastas as well. A very nice and fun staff. We always have a good time here, not to mention a great meal.

Great family restaurant
We have just moved to the neighborhood, our doormen recommended us this great family restaurant. We had great meal and they made us feel like we were living in this neighborhood for a long time. Very friendly service. We allready like upper west thanks to Bella Luna.

A wonderful place
As was written below, this place is really a place you can visit several times a week, the food is excellent and the atomosphere is very nice. The value of this restaurant is by far the best I have seen in Manhattan so far. About the service, I have noticed when I came after the busy hours that the waiters were occupied with other things and the service was a little slow, a small thing that can even be for one advantage keeping him enjoing and digesting for a couple more minutes.

Mediocre food, Service poor
Although some parts to the meal food-wise were excellent (mozz & tom salad, cappuccino, dessert), the bulk of the meal was mediocre. The service left much to be desired. We were pretty much ignored for much of the meal (and we were the only ones there for a while!) and it took eons to get our waitress to our table to take our check. We were being very patient, but finally, we had to hold it up in the air and a manager took care of it. I'll never go back there nor recommend it to anyone, there are just too many other places that are spectacular, it's not worth the trip for this one.

Delicious!
I brought my friend here last sunday, and we really enjoyed it. We had a very sweet waitress who made good suggestions (the skirt steak and the angel hair with goat cheese are a must, just as she said). We also had tartufo for dessert, which was very good, and nice cappucinos. Surprisingly, it wasn't very crowded, but I suppose we were latecomers at 10pm. I will definitely be going back there again.

Bellisima cucina
I was recently in the neighborhood visiting my friend and she took me for dinner to this beautiful restaurant where the food and staff was exquisite. I have never experienced Italian cuisine like this. It's a great neighborhood restaurant - great food, great value.

Bella, indeed!
In the last two weeks, we've "discovered" neighborhood favorite, Bella Luna for the first time by dining inside and by takeout. Wonderful, dependable, flavorful standard "AmerItalian" served by a very helpful and courteous staff that help us feel right at home. The takeout travelled well, too! Recommendations, you ask? For sure! The bruschetta is a knock-out. The Tuscan bean salad is a delight. Tiramisu aims to please. (and it does!) Oh, oh, oh. . .and be sure to order a cappucino with its Mount Everest-like foam on top. Super-yum!
