If you are three people you will be seated at a small table for two. You will have to put the salt shaker on your lap, eat your bread up fast so it can removed from the table. We went to east at 5:30 on a weekday with a reservation and the place was almost empty and remained so for a good while. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. The waiters/busboys were very good. We would have stayed for dessert and coffee but it was so uncomfortable. Therefore, by usuing their policy they lost money on us. First of all, we wont go back, there are many many Italian restuarants in the neighborhood. So, they lost the money of all subsequent vivists we would have made, lost the money for dessert we would have ordered and lost any postive recommendation we would have given when someone asks us for an Italain place on the East Side.

Absolutely love this neighborhood restaurant. The best Italian food with great service. Everyone should try this place!

Used to be a great restaurant but poor, rude service since Marco left. No one's managing the store! Food was never spectacular but it's become downright mediocre and boring. Low quality products may save money but will lose customers. Lively staff with no leader. Make-over time!

It starts at the bar, when greeted by the knowledgeable and friendly barkeep. He makes a great drink and offers a taste of today's favorite wine. The rest of the service team works well together. And the food is as good as UES gets. A real winner.

the margarita and tiramisu was carved by angels. BEST Italian restaurant meal ever!

As a native New Yorker and big-time Italian food food junkie this was as a good a mean as I've had in a very long time. There were four of us and everyone raved about their dinner -- from salad to desserts. Service was topnotch and we had a very knowledgable and attentive waiter. And the host couldn't have been nicer. I highly recommend this place. Everything was extremely fresh, prepared perfectly, and two of the best pastas I have ever had were my Spaghetti pomodoro and my daughter's gnocchi. The lamb chops and the risotto with scallops special rounded out a perfect meal. And the desserts were awesome, highlighted by the buffalo mozzarella cheescake and the apple fennel cobbler -- both mouth-watering.

The food is fresh and delicious. It is the most authentic Northern Italian in the area. Can get loud and crowded after 6:30, but most restaurants do at that hour. The manager treats everyone the same. There is no attitude at this restaurant and it's far better than it's next door neighbor Setto Mez.
