Don't go
The food was served raw and the wait staff was rude. I wouldn't even go back here for a free meal.

Inedible!
Wow - this is the best example of a restaurant that started out great - fresh, yummy food and each year has gotten progressively disappointing. I ordered Massaman Chicken which when arrived looked more like a red curry because of the quarter inch of oil floating on the surface! There was 2 potatoes, no peanuts or any other of the yummy veggies (carrots or onions) in this dish! The other thai wok dish we ordered tasted like they threw all the veggies and chicken in boiling water - there was absolutely no flavor! The best thing we ate was the thai iced tea - but then again, how can you get that wrong. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from here again.

Not recommended
After wating 25 minutes for a bowl of soup, it was finally delivered cold and the shrimp dumplings were raw. When I sent it back, they nuked them (leaving the half eaten dumpling in the soup) and brought it to another table for a while. I sent it back two more times before they understood I didn't want it. The crab cakes I ordered were cold too, but since I was starving and figured it wasn't raw I ate it. Another diner was very angry trying to get his check, and one more left in mid-meal, complaining about the cold food and miserable service. When we got our check, it was for another table, and of course, when we got ours, the soup was still on it. The staff was extremely rude -- talking on the phone with their backs to the house and snickering at their customers' dissatisfaction. There is no shortage of Thai restaurants in Park Slope. Avoid this one.

hmm
Massaman curry = red curry and it does have an MSG taste to it. There are some other items on the menu that do not have that issue.

regular customer
We 've been here many times but never seen red curry in beet menu. so the review about MSG in red curry down here is fake.

Exxcellennt
Went to Beet once about a year ago and remembered that it was pretty good. Nice, quiet, clean atmostphere. Went back for Valentine's Day and forgot how great the prices are, and the service. Had the best fried rice EVER. And nothing over 10bucks. I'll def. be going back there again. 100times better than Sea.
