Always like it
Beckys is a great corner bar. Good food, beers, and atmosphere. Lots of options on the suds list. Tight spot

Good bites and suds
Do not be fooled be the expensive Upper East Side address, this is a local sports and booze joint. If expecting white glove service prefaced with "high my name is Sam, your server for tonight" you are in the WRONG place. This place is beer-over 25 on tap-served in true Irish pints- and pub grub. I love the presentation and taste of their food -no fancy chopped parsley or odd shaped plates- . I pay $20 for a great sandwich and two fancy pints of ale. However I must confess to sometimes staying for some extra suds. The service is expected old New York, servers with personality-see Jackie, Steve, Sean or Glen-and a no nonsense attitude. Some times us regulars are on the wrong ! Their delivery is not quick and I usually wait 45 minutes for my food. However, my order, most times, arrives hot and correct. Hope this review puts your expectations in place

Boycotting Becky's
I live right around the corner from Becky's and desperately wish that the bar was decent. The service completely ruins the experience. My friends and I have visited here no less then 5 times and each and every time we were constantly looking for a waitress to get our food, drinks, etc. When we did find one, they consistently got our orders wrong (Coke instead of Sprite, wrong kind of fries, etc). We finally decided enough was enough!

Extremely Poor Service
The food is great as well as the atmosphere. The trouble here are the waitresses. They could not care less about the patrons unless they chat with customers at the bar. You're lucky if you can get their attention without trying to flag them down as they are always engrossed in flirty conversations. I will not stand to be ignored any more, so I have scratched this bar/pub off my list once and for all.

Mediocre at best
I admit, this used to be a great place for delicious bar food and a couple beers. But now the food is lacking, the beer is expensive ($6.25 for a cider?), and the service is limited. Oh well, glad i got to enjoy it while it was good. For now, I'm on the hunt for a new place to go.

Excellent neighborhood pub
Becky's is THE neighborhood pub of choice. Good dark Irish pub that doesn't take itself too seriously. I doubt anyone will travel from other neighborhoods to hang out here, which keeps the crowd pleasant, unpretentious, and neighborly. Always a good time and a great place to catch sports games. Good beers on tap, and the most amazing chicken nachos in the city. I swear they lace them with something, too good to be true. Only about $9, but can easily feed 2-3 people. We eat it all the time for an entire meal. Other appetizers are also very good, and really good sizes for the price. Newcastle beer is about $4/pint. Bigger american beers (bud, miller) are cheaper. Good prices in comparison to other Manhattan bars. Very fun place. Good pub atmosphere. Good, real people. Good staff.

Chicken nachos
I honestly think that the chicken nachos are the best in the entire City, boroughs included. If there is any better chicken nachos than Becky's then I would like to know. Otherwise, the place is fine. Don't expect to meet too many single women there. But the selection of beers is excellent and I have had only good service there.
