    disappointment

    our waitress was wonderful reservation was right on time selection of wine was great salads and appetizers and the hummus was delicious but the signature dish was uncooked, cold, not tasty, watery, and such a tremendous disappointment that i will definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone i like. lidia needs to go back and beat up chef Gallagher back into meeting up to her standards

    Very Disappointing

    On December 1, 2010, my family went to Becco. We were seated upstairs in a very drafty section near an enclosed patio. Our table of four was directly in front of a table of two, so we were all elbow to elbow. The service was not good. We had our appetizer and 25 minutes later our salad came. Our daughter got the pasta special, which was brought 15 minutes before the rest of the meals. Very awkward! The food was less than adequate, very mediocre. This was not our first visit to Becco, but will definitely be our last for a long time. There are too many other really great eateries in NYC to go back to Becco.

    Great eats

    Visited for first time. We were not disappointed. Everything was cooked to perfection. We are looking forward to our next visit. Service was spot on. Atmosphere was very cozy.

    Love This Restaurant

    We come to NY at least 4-5 times a year and Becco is always the first place we eat. We love the pasta dishes, the service has always been great, and the wait staff have come to know us and treat us like family. We look forward to Thanksgiving at Becco this year!

    It was Great

    We had Thearter tickets for five.We made reservation for Nov 11th at 6:30.We had not wait.Were seated right away upstairs.Server came over and asked if we had theater tickets.We told her yes. Our order was taken and the food came with very little delay. The meal was very good.We all ordered something differant and everything was worth the price.As our order came i asked for the bill so i could pay.We got to the theater with 15 minutes to spare.Saw ELF and it was a very good play.The night worked out very well thanks to the restaurant.I will return!

    What a disappointment

    I have been to Becco several times as well as to several other of Lidia's restaurants, including Felidia's. The service here was poor. We had a reservation for 6:30 but they sooo overbook so we did not get a table until 7:10. We ordered immediately and told the waiter that we had theater tickets for that evening His response was "Yea, and so do thousands of other people." At 7:30 we told him time was short and his response was that he could not cook the food so what did we want.

    Poor service and decent pasta

    We waited over an hour after we made a reservation. Nearly every member of the wait staff had a major attitude problem. The food was pretty good for the deal they offer, but not worth the unpleasant service and aggravation of the waiting in addition to the wait staff.
