I'm sure many people love this place because the food is very decent, but I don't think you're getting value (nothing special for the price). Also, our server was very rude and snobby. When I ordered two appetizers as my meal I was told that "this is a course restaurant. You must eat one as first course and then the other." Imagine being told how to eat your dinner? I wanted to eat them together but I politely let it slide. Didn't appreciate the attitude and will not go back. Not a great experience.

service was excellent, from the waiters to busboys, everyone was very efficient. 7 of us had the pasta special and i had the veal chop and one had a seafood dish. veal chop was superb and one of the best that the carnevore ever had. same with seafood love, she thought it was fabulous. we all shared calamari appetizer and i thought calamari appetizers at portugese restaurants are often much better. all of us enjoyed caeser salad and 3 pasta choices were very filling for all of us. one salad(regular) was not good at all and they removed it from the bill. noisy atmosphere and they let you relax if wanted or get you out if on your way to the theater.

Ate here for the first time and wow - what a gastronomical adventure. Had the Prix Fixe lunch and would absolutely get it again. The mixed antipasto was incredible, such different items like ricotta with honey drizzled over it. Next was an unlimited amount of the the three pastas of the day. Each pasta dish served was better than the last. The service was great, the staff a delight. Can't wait to return.

Definitely living on their laurels. Food was not great and service, well there was none to speak of. And how can you have a bar that doesn't carry Beefeater's?? Won't return.

This was my second visit to Becco and, once again, I was not disappointed - I tried the chicken with argula and pine nuts and olives - absolutely delicious ! I also had the antipasto appetizer - interesting tastes and great variety - the cauliflower, the zucchini, the mushrooms, the olives, the fish, plus much more !- what a great way to start a meal! The most impressive part of my visit was the service - our server was exceptional - there when we needed something, but not overbearing - absolutely first class service! I'll be going back the next time I'm in the city!

What a great restaurant - the atmosphere is homey, the host gracious and the food incredible! There was so much to eat. My friend had the veal chop which she loved and I had this incredible chicken! And the host also sent along a sampling of the three pastas for the day.....I could have stayed here all night. Check out their sister restaurant, Esca, at 402 West 43rd Street. Another outstanding dining adventure. The service was impeccable (even at lunch when they were busy) and the food fabulous! I live in Florida and would come to NYC just to eat at these two restaurants!

I absolutely fell in love with the place once I walked in. It's vey intimate and romantic. Their fried calamari is to die for! If you order the daily pastas, the waiters come around and just keep filling your plate! The pasta is just fantastic! Definitely order the dessert sampler.
