I took my family here for diner on Christmas Eve, it was a nice setting but the food was just ok . Nothing here was spectacular and I would not recommend this based on good/fair value. It was somewhat over rated. The restaurant was well staffed.

I've been a fan of Lidia's for a long time now and finally went to Becco's recently (which I believe belongs to her son). The food is amazing, homey, and incredibly filling. My friend and I had the antipasti that comes with the unlimited prix fixe pasta (you get all-you-can-eat pasta for $20) and the lamb. It was so good. I've eaten italian in little italy before and have been disappointed thinking that there was no good italian in nyc. I was wrong. This place is amazing!

Becco is where I take all of my family members when they are in New York City. The food is consistently superb and I have never had bad service in my many visits there. The wait times can be long in the pre-theater hours, so I would recommend reservations. The restaurant is lively so you don't have to whisper over your meal. Freat wine selection, and the desserts will throw even the strongest dieter off the wagon. All in all very worth the price!

Just a couple of Aussies in town for a few days and a show, found Becco on reccomendation and was ideal for dinner and a brooklyn brown. Ate at the bar, fixed price menu, too much food! and wonderful bar staff. Can't wait to come back, Love NY

This is a good restaurant. We had the prix fixe dinner (unlimited pasta) and the veal for dinner between the two of us. The service was good from our server to the bus boys. The atmosphere is wonderful and homey, although a bit loud sometimes (in the mad rush right before broadway shows). I don't think you can go wrong by coming here. =) And definitely watch Lidia's show on PBS.

We have recently moved to New York from Chicago. There are many great value places in Chicago and we thought we would stuggle find similar quality and value here. However, this is as good a combination of quality and value I have seen anywhere. I had the "all you can eat" pasta combination. It was fresh and an excellent combination of pastas and accompaniments. The price was fixed at $21 and included an excellent antipasto appetizer that include many grilled vegtables, and octopus salad. The other excellent thing on the menu was a long list of good quality wines all at $25 dollars a bottle. The waitress was very helpful in picking for us. Will be back again soon and anyone visiting us in new York will be taken here. That especially applies to Brits who love the all you can eat concept.
