This is a great place to go for pre-theater dinner. Absolutely delicious food. I definitely recommend the unlimited pasta entree. If you're wise you'll fill your plate even after you're full and take home the leftovers.

I'll preface by saying my review may be tainted, Becco will forever have a place in my heart b/c it is where my bf first said "I love you," but that aside I think I can still give it an unbiased review. First and foremost for me is the wine, they have a small menu of about 60 wines for $25, and many are great values. We had the 2006 Barbera d'Asti, Tre Vigne and it was wonderful. The bread and foccacia they give with their red pepper and olive oil is yummy. We split the mussels with garlic and bread for an appetizer, delicious. Thank God we both ate it or there'd be no kissing later that night though. I also recommend they 3 pastas you can get with you meal. My bf got that and we split them, more than enough. The pastas are handmade and change daily, but our spinach ravioli, garlic claim linguine and farfalle with tomato and basil were all wonderful. For entrees I had the zuppa di pesce which was good, though I wasn't in love with the lobster broth. My bf had the salmon over a puree of fava beans which was really good. I can't comment on dessert but I'm sure it's delicious as well. The place is very romantic, we sat outside, and the food was delicious, highly highly recommended.

Went to Becco today with 10 friends after enjoying an afternoon matinee. The food was amazing. I had the pasta special, it was great. Desserts also were delicious. The service however, was not so great. Our server(who shall remain nameless) rushed us in and tried to rush us out. It made our first experience at Becco a little nerve racking. Hopefully someone out there who is connected with the restaurant will see this and speak to the staff. Part of the experience is not only the food, but the atmosphere too!

Becco was a fantastic restaurant. Their pasta was some of the best we have ever had. The atmosphere was fun. Nikki was our server who really us treated well. I do not eat veal so she prepared the pasta without it just for me. We will go back everytime we're back in New York. Thanks for a wonderful birthday dinner. From Seattle

I've been going to the theatre for many, many years and never went to Becco prior to last night. I was so pleasantly surprised! First of all, I love a bustling atmosphere. The crowds and longevity of the restaurant attest to the fact that it is popular.....and very good. I had the best veal chop I've ever had at any restaurant at any price. THe dessert was exceptional as well. Service was good. We left in time to make our early curtain. I will surely go back to Becco again and again and suggest you put it on your "to do" list as well.

We had theater going guests in town so Becco was the perfect choice for its location. We had such a fabulous lunch we made reservations for dinner the same day! We had the roasted chicken, pasta sampler, and seafood with polenta in a quiet, pretty room with a huge skylight above us. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. Dinner however, was not nearly as enjoyable. Squeezed into a room on the second floor, we had the whole roasted fish and pasta sampler again, but it was nearly impossible to speak to each other due to the noise. The food was delicious once again, but the entire staff was tense- racing around, making mistakes, and making the atmosphere stressful. The dessert sampler is perfect for 4 but the rowdy crowd make staying for it a chore.
