Yes agreed its a bit sceney or whatever but that's part of what you are paying for so be comfortable knowing you are getting pushed around. Get the short rib tamales, hominy, salt n vinegar fries and its totally worth it.

This isnt Max Fish or the Skinny, This gargantuan mess of a place brings the MPD to the LES. As the previous reviewer quoted too crowded, coat check is a mess. Service is good, food average. downstairs is better than upstairs, It still has a feeling of trying to find its crowd as at present its a mix of LES hipsters, UES/UWS vacationers, interested parties from Soho and Village and the ubiquitous B+T crowd. If I had to describe it from the outside its like seeing Las vegas come out of the dark from the plane, but we all know that more and more of this is coming to you poor LES residents.....wheres left? Avenue D?

I don't know what the reviewer below me was thinking, but this place is definitely NOT a secret; it's packed wall to wall! But if you don't mind waiting forever for a table (even with a reservation), the food is good, the drinks are stiff (though small and expensive), and the servers are miraculously friendly and helpful (which is amazing, because I'd be in a bad mood if I had to battle that crowd!).

It’s great new all in one spot with excellent food, multiple floors, with bars and plenty lounging areas, great music and excellent service. And an attention-grabbing pawn shop right when you walking. It's a must go to spot.
