    Better service at corner bodega!

I have eaten at Beast for brunch and dinner and have always enjoyed the food and service. The service today was poor. We waited for our food for 70 minutes! The waitress was not friendly and sighed when we asked for a bread basket to tide us over while waiting for our meal which she charged us for. The chorizo hash was dripping with oil and the bread for the basket was thoughed out. Carry a bag of M&M's in your bag just in case.

    Beast is Best

Great place for the neighborhood. It's a haunt for Prospect Heights people in search of good food. Worth a trip for anyone outside our little triangle of Brooklyn. Meet some people, eat some fantastic food, hear some good tunes. Beast is the best! For Tapas the portions are great. Go with a few people and share a few dishes or by yourself a few (ask the staff) are large enough for one. Long bar and the atmosphere is great for people dining alone as well.

    Great spot

We went off of reviews, and loved the place. The food was really delicious and fresh tasting, and it was a fun cool environment, they even had play-doh! We will head back there soon!

beast is the best in the neighborhood!

i live in the neighborhood, and beast is by far the best restaurant around. the food is consistently excellent and the service is always warm and friendly. my husband and i absolutely adore the brunch, but the sticky toffee pudding is hands down the best thing on the entire menu. i don't even order dessert very often, but we tried the sticky toffee pudding once and i've been hooked ever since. trust me, it's amazing!

    Great food but average overall

Other than being forgotten if eating outside (can I get some water?), the dishes are delicious. Try the spicy almonds, listed as an appetizer tho portion is more of a side-dish. Portions are smaller than Id want for the price. still good for a nice date, good atmosphere, nice beers.

    Great time, every time

they claim their menus is a tapas menus, but the portions are large for tapas. incredibly friendly service. sit at the bar a few times and you will be treated like a regular. great space that apparently sat empty for 25 years. great wine selection that is served in quartino which is a glass and a half. portobello mushrooms are great, as well as, skirt steak, pear tartlett. the burger is amazing.

    Excellent and creative food

Beast is an awesome restaurant, and I'm so glad it's getting the press coverage it deserves. The servers are very nice and welcoming, and the menu, which frequently changes, is full of creative small dishes. They try to say it's tapas, but the portions are so much bigger, and half the price, than any other tapas I've had in the city. The fish is always good, the chicken in garlic is amazing, and the roasted vegetables are wonderful. Get there early if you don't want to wait a super long time (they one forgot about me when I was waiting, but made it up to me by bringing me a delicious strawberry lemonade)!
