    Cozy and healthy neighborhood

Healthy and delicious fresh food for every meal. Great place to grab coffee with friends or get work done in a peaceful atmosphere.

    Yum

So let me start off by saying out of all the neighborhoods in NYC, anything along York Ave is my least favorite. I haven't had the best dining experiences. Its also tough to find a place to eat during your lunch break. On my last day of work at my old job, I wanted to buy a cake for my coworkers. Most of the good bakeries are long Lexington or further West. But I had always passed this place and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, the guy on the phone was sooooo helpful when it came to prices and portion sizes. They even delivered the cake to us, free of charge. I felt bad since I was calling at 4 and most bakeries need a couple of hours notice. But Beanocchio's delivered me a cake of perfection. Their red velvet was so good and fresh and just wonderful. It also makes me want to go back to York Ave just for their cake...almost

Good place to work or just chat with a friend

The coffee is fine--not gourmet, but not any worse than Starbucks. I've had pastries here once or twice. They're fine, too--nothing to write home about. The service is also fine. They get you what you order, and take your money. Frankly, that's about all the service I need or expect. I like the big table in the back; it's good for getting work done, and you can usually get a reliable WiFi signal. It's a little quieter than the Starbucks at 75th/1st (doesn't get overcrowded with the French high school kids on weekdays) and not as dark and oppressive as the one on 81st/York. Can't comment on delivery... didn't even know they did it. And honestly I don't see why anyone would walk by Beanocchio's and think "oh, I bet this is a good place for take out!" It's just not that kind of place.

    Beanocchi-NO's!

First review EVER. SO bad I had to get on the computer and rate this one. They can't understand you on the phone, and the two times I have ordered from here, the order was wrong. Things were missing, the food was poor, even the coffee was bad. Although this place isn't expensive, I would rather have gotten an untoasted bagel from my local bodega.

Great, relaxing cafe, and omelettes all day!

This place is 5 blocks from work and is a perfect mid-day/lunch break spot. Their food is good, healthy, and not too expensive. They also serve egg/omelette dishes ALL DAY (very rare). The veggie egg white omelette is particularly good, as is the open-faced grilled veggie sandwich with pesto and mozzarella.

    The Story of Beanocchio

Coffee's not bad, pastries aren't bad, either. Neither is brilliant both are edible.
