    Enjoyable but not a standout

Considering this place specializes in tofu the soondobu was not much better or distinct from any other place in Ktown, and definitely could not compare to the tofu restaurants in Fort Lee. The kalbi was a nice portion but tasted a bit too sweet for my liking. However the panchan and the service were definitely some of the best on 32nd street.

    Definitely worth it!

BCD Tofu House was my first experience with Korean food. I had the beef tofu soup (and also tried the dumpling tofu soup). Super tasty, and there was so much food that I couldn't even finish it all. Service was great - they served us quickly and kept making sure we had whatever we needed. It was definitely well worth the price. The soup came with a bunch of side dishes for the table, including kimchi, fish, and other foods that I can't even name. I went on a Wednesday night and it was quite busy, but we were still seated within 10 minutes. Definitely a great place to eat!!! Oh, and if you aren't too good with spicy food, be sure to get the soup plain or mild - my friend doesn't do too well with spicy food and his eyes were tearing just from having the mild soup - imagine what it would have been like if he had gotten it super spicy!

it's alright but cant compare to LA chain

the menu is similar and food tastes similar but the main difference is the price. i cant believe this place charges 15 dollars for soon-tofu. the LA chain charges 8 bucks and it used to be cheaper before. it may not be that bad if you say 15 bucks for dinner but the quality of the food is not worth it. it's just tofu in soup! and 15 bucks for that? no way. not worth it any way you put it. i dont know if it was just me but the amount of food seemed to be smaller portion compare to the LA ones. the ambiance of the restaurant does not make up for such ridiculous food value. the atmosphere and service is the bare minimum. we actually had to call the waiter over to take our order and refill water.
