no matter where i try, i always go back here for any korean tofu soup. bcd tofu house has the best! their soup is the right amount of flavor and spice. the menus is simple to read. i always order the beef soup or the mixed soup (seafood and meat). its just so delicious! their fish for the appetizer is also very very good, fried to the right amount. not too oily, yet very flavorful. and it doesn't have that rotten fish smell at all. their kimchi is a bit on the sweet side, so i would not eat that if i was on a sugar watch. however, everything else, loveee it. def come back again whenever i feel like some korean tofu soup!

I have decided to try this place out on a special occasion on 12/13/2010. By looking at the picture in the mneu of the Seafood Tofu I have decided to order it. The picture, which is the only picture in the menu, showed this delicious bowl filled with 3 large head on shrimps, 2 large clams, an egg in the middle, oysters and some other good stuff. After waiting, the Seafood TOFU i got had 1 shriveled shrimp with head dangling off, 1 mussle, 1 small clam and 1 shriveled oyster all for $12.95. I felt cheated. And for $12.95 i think you should get something substantial then what they offered. I could of gone across the street to Woorijip and get a tofy bowl for $7. I would not go there again and i don't recommend this place where they treat their customer like stupid.

It was a tad hot when we got inside, but what can you expect, they have hot bbq grills open on each table. But once we sat down we all cooled off, the wait staff was quick and polite, which was a plus. It was my first time having tofu pots, and I didn't have high expections. Oh my did I love love love the meal, we also ordered the jap chae and bi bim bop, all good. We will definitely be back again soon.

Food is great here. The vegetables in the bibimbab are so fresh and tasty you can eat them without mixing in the chilli paste and it still tastes good. Their signature tofu soups are fantastic too!

For the record, please refrain from eating at BDC Tofu House on Friday evenings. You are assured of better food quality any other day of the week. BCD does not disappoint as a Tofu House. The delicious tofu literally melts in your mouth! :) The duck galbi is also very good. If you are looking for Korean bbq, there are many other places to try in K-Town, and i wouldn't pick BCD. But if i'm craving good Korean tofu stew, this is it!! The appetizers are also yummy and each guest gets a decent-sized whole fried fish! Ambience is great and the booths can easily accomodate a party of 6. The servers are pleasant in general. Dinners tend to be busy so be prepared to wait :)

Considering this place specializes in tofu the soondobu was not much better or distinct from any other place in Ktown, and definitely could not compare to the tofu restaurants in Fort Lee. The kalbi was a nice portion but tasted a bit too sweet for my liking. However the panchan and the service were definitely some of the best on 32nd street.

BCD Tofu House was my first experience with Korean food. I had the beef tofu soup (and also tried the dumpling tofu soup). Super tasty, and there was so much food that I couldn't even finish it all. Service was great - they served us quickly and kept making sure we had whatever we needed. It was definitely well worth the price. The soup came with a bunch of side dishes for the table, including kimchi, fish, and other foods that I can't even name. I went on a Wednesday night and it was quite busy, but we were still seated within 10 minutes. Definitely a great place to eat!!! Oh, and if you aren't too good with spicy food, be sure to get the soup plain or mild - my friend doesn't do too well with spicy food and his eyes were tearing just from having the mild soup - imagine what it would have been like if he had gotten it super spicy!
