This restaurant has much potential. Well furnished for a fine dining experience, it's immaculately clean with an open kitchen. The wine dark dining area is cavernous and and there's plenty of table space. Traditional Turkish fare is well proportioned and served family style with bread baked on the premises. The drawback is that the wait staff is uncertain and lack the skills or perhaps the willingness to help the uninitiated with menu items or even to flash a comforting smile. I ordered a rich meal of lamb chunks immersed in yogurt sauce - a dish fit for royalty. However it was unfitting for my rice pudding desert to be served in a plastic container. The meal itself is authentically homemade and the place is clean and refined. Make guests feel welcome and improve the service; do a little more to raise awareness with the public - change these essential elements and it will quickly gain in notoriety.

This place is pretty typical of Bensonhurst eateries, good food, big potions, and cheap decor. But this place is worth the trip. The food is plate cleaning delicious, all the lamb dishes are rich without being way too oily, I mean it's lamb, but it's done very well. The chicken chops are a must try, some of the most delicious chicken I have ever had, and so spicy. Generally I would characterise the food as Mediterranean comfort food, that is not a complaint. The wait staff are generally sweet girls who are polite and attentive, make you feel like at your visiting family. I have never had bad service, maybe overly attentive, when the place is empty though. I gave it a high value, as you get an enormous serving of food, plan on sharing with friends, it's a very family style place. Two key areas that need improvement, the big screen TV needs to go. I hate Televisions in bars and restaurants. Also the Beer and Wine list needs to be upgraded. I can overlook the small blemishes for the food.
