Fantastic!
Gooooood foood! Strongly recommanded. I had grilled squid, spaghetti w/ cheese & prosciutto, filet mignon w/ foie gras and bottle of pino noir.... every dish was tasty, and also dessert! The prosciutto was real italian one... mmm.. You must make reservation because of long waiting line even during the week nights! The place is bit crowded I would day.

Exceptional Place
This Italian is one of the best. The food is surpurb, the service is wonderful and you get to watch everything being cooked. Their pastas are perfection!. Home made desserts (watch him make them) are always innovative and delicious.

Can't Wait To Return
Recently on a visit from Canada we went there with a NY local. Food was excellent and staff are so friendly! I can't wait to go back.

A Touch of Italy!
The food is excellent with very curtious workers who run to give quick service. The portions are excellent and the variety of food with unique flavoring gives this place an exquisit touch of Italy meets Japan. The only thing is that I wish that the place was bigger and not so noisy but overall the food wins out.

Italian/Asian Food?
I expected Italian food, like the name would suggest. However, the restaurant has a hint of Asian to it. The food lacked in creativity and taste. The service and atmosphere were excellent, but the food is not recommended.

My Favorite NYC Restaurant
The food at Basta is just amazing. Fresh, delicious and healthy. It's always packed there, so I make reservations just to make sure I get a table. Everyone is so nice there, greeting you and waving you goodbye. It's my favorite restaurant in NYC and I've been a New Yorker for all of my 33 years. I highly recommend it!

Kitchen Theater
Great, exotic, warm and active dining atmosphere. Like a kitchen theater.... You can enjoy the art exhibits and open kitchen, super fresh meat and fish, chefs in motion, sounds of pans, smokes, and fresh food being prepared right there in front of you.
