When you first eat at Basset you might see the menu boards and think the prices are kind of high especially for a hero, but ince you get that hero you'll see that they don't skimp. If your looking for a great deal look at their hot stuff and see if thèy have stuffed shells then ask for the pasta pot of the day; you'll get 5 of the best shells anywhere, a good salad (not just iceberg lettuce), and a nice piece of bread for $6 & tax. Their asian pork loin and chicken marsala are generally excellent; for the sides their mashed potatoes are always excellent, the mac and cheese is hit or miss though. Their best hero is called a Chicken tuscany which is grilled chicken with mozzarella, topped with mesclun salad (field greens), peppers, and pesto; I prefer it without the peppers but it is delicious. Their meatballs are some of the better ones I've eaten but due to screwy pricing a meatball parm hero is $8 which is more than chicken parm to my mind this is over priced and I won't pay it. Overall Bassett has good food and good portions in a clean environment. You really can't go wrong here.

I have been eating here for as long as I can remember! But the above review is correct if not a regular expect to be pushed aside for the locals! Great catering at reasonable prices. I always get the daily specials (ex. Tuesday is turkey day) can't beat the 6$ price tag on a entree and 2 sides to go!

Bassett has made great food for years. Thier catering service is absolutley excellent and we use them for almost every party we have. Even thier store is a great place to pick up a quick lunch. Where else can you get a steak dinner for 10$

I had to wait about twenty minutes online to order food. I was constantly ignored then when i mentioned something the worker claimed that other people were here first. I told them that I just seen them park and i was completely ignored. Another customer told me that since I'm not a regular there that I should get used to it. The food was nothing special and prices were very high. $2 for a soda, how does that sound to you? stale bread at 11:30am. It must of been left overs.

This is more of a catering place, they do serve hot food for lunch and dinner. Usually closed by 6. A neighborhood staple for years, excellent sandwiches and homemade Italian fanfare.
