Wonderful Place
My daughter, granddaughter and I had dinner here on my birthday and it was a great experience. Can't wait to return!

A Great Little Restaurant
Everything was great at this small gem on the Westside. Check it out...You'll be glad you did.

Cramped and wonderful
I heartily agree with the reviewer who wrote "friendly staff, etc." They are friendly. The food is wonderful. The prices are great. It's tiny and it's packed but you'll have a great time, I assure you. If you're going to a show and are short on time, just let them know and they'll be sure you get off on time. I love this place. I should say I hate it so it won't be so crowded next time I go, but I cannot tell a lie. Mangia, mangia!

Great place
I've been in NY for 7 years now and have to say this restaurant is one of my favorite. It seems more the way an italian restaurant shuld be run, rather than the tourist traps with average food in Little Italy. I'm amazed that they keep their prices so low and service so exceptional. If youre going to the theatre or anywhere near Hell's Kitchen, you have to try it. The place is more of a small "old New York" set up, which, while wonderful for a couple seeking ambiance, does not do particularly well with large groups or families with little ones. Also, reservations are a good idea.

Mean Pre-theater pre-fix
For $20.95 per person you can get an appetizer, main course and desert and if you bring a special someone with you, you get a terrific bottle of wine. Great portions of fantastic quality. You might want to get there before six because the place is almost always packed.

First date!
I saw this restaurant in a CBS Special about dating in NYC about a year ago. It was said it was a good place to take a first date...and you know what...IT IS! The prices are very good...and they have excelent wines...(they only serve wine and beer...no bar) BUT it's an excellent little restaurant. You might have to wait to get a table, but the service and food makes it worth it. I highly recommend.

Better than any "Little Italy"...
Basilica is amazing! From the cozy, friendly, family atmosphere to the delicious homemade pasta dishes, Basilica is a phenomenal find! The cannolis are better than those found in New Haven, CT, the North End of Boston, MA or on Federal Hill in Providence, RI (all "Little Italy's")! You just have to taste one yourself to believe it! Prices are more than resonable for NYC and it's walking distance from the Theatre District! Due to the small size and limited tables (another charming feature), make a reservation in advance. You won't be disappointed!
