Typical
Food was Ok but very bad relation between quality and price. Can't understand the good rating in this site. I was really disapointed. It is the typical tourist trap. Making Money out of nothing. The bill was wrong - of course not in our favor. Can not recoment this restaurant.

Great
Went on a sunday night after seeing Bonnie and Clyde around the corner. Found this tiny gem on menupages. Tried to call to make a reservation to no avail as the show started before the restuarant opened. Walked in about 540 and was seated with no problem at probably the best table in the place. Approxmatley 5 minutes later there was a line out the door. We had a ceaser salad and asparagus spinach goat cheese and mozzerella as appetizers. Both were unbelievable. As entrees (2 people I was with had chicken basilica which was recommended by the chef and they said were fantastic) Rissotto special was good as well. Veal Parmigiana was faboulous veal was cooked perfectly. Definitley recommended.

Absolutely Delicious
My girlfriend and I came to NYC for a show and I found Basilica on this website and it looked pretty good so we tried it. It was the best choice I could have made. The restaurant is a tiny hole in the wall and a truly authentic italian restuarant. The homemade pasta's are absolutely incredible, and I think it was the best meal I have ever had in my life. My girlfriend spent 8 weeks in Italy and said this was the best Italian food she ever had. Every time I go to NYC I am coming back to this restaurant. Warning: Don't try to come with a party of more than 4 people because I don't think you will be able to all fit at the same table.

One step away from Chef-Boy-Ardee
$70 with tip including appetizer and one drink. Callamari Fritti was soaking in grease, all of the food was saturated with salt, and the chicken Parm was dry (hard to do when it's sitting in marinara sauce). Atmosphere and service were decent. Five glasses of water later (I'm still rehydrating from all the salt), I'm at my show with a full stomach at least. Will not return :(

Amazing!
Perfect little hole in the wall restaurant. Atmosphere was great, service was even better, and the food topped everything! Will be back every time I get anywhere near NYC.

4 visits, 4 great meals
We've been 4 times and each visit was met with great service! Thoroughly enjoyed the olives and bread, the appetizers, and the dinner. I don't think you can beat this place for all the things you would want for great casual Italian dining
