Consistently Excellent
Being but a few blocks away, Basera is my default destination whenever I find myself craving Indian. The food is always well prepared, regardless of the dish, with aromatic recipes and quality ingredients. I absolutely recommend.

Bland
The service is friendly. The dinning room is pleasant. And the food is just a little bland.

Try the Lunch!
The lunch special is an awesome value. I work in the area and it is $8.95 for a main, naan and rice. It's a lot of food for one person! I can't seem to get enough of their Paneer Makhani (I'm a vegetarian.) Definitely try it out - if you can't pick it up - they deliver!

delicious food at a reasonable price
We had made reservations for 8 after my sister's college graduation. The graduation went over and we called them to tell them we were late...after about 45 minutes after our initial reservation time, the restaurant still held our reservations and was welcoming. The Indian food was absolutely delicious and the portions were more than sufficient! Each entree was perfect and the service was amazing. When we received our bill, we were amazed at how much value we received and how delicious the food was...highly recommend!

Great Indian, Great service
Fantastic! The lamb vindaloo was exceptional, the lamb was fresh and tender, the sauce was perfectly spiced. The service really stands out, great people, very accommodating, very passionate about what they do. If you like authentic Indian at the right price with great service, this is your spot.

Mediocre Portions
I just searched menupages for indian food and found Basera on the list for "great indian food at great prices." Here is MY review: Everything was priced reasonably and taste is somewhat bland for my south indian palate, but they are so CHEAP with the shrimp. I ordered a $7 appetizer that said shrimp with dried coconut & spices, and what I got was a plate of thick curry with ONE shrimp sitting in the middle. I asked the waiter, what happened to the REST of it? Was I supposed to drink that curry, it didnt come with anything, nor was naan offered until I asked for it ten minutes later. I thought they sent me the wrong plate, but no thats what I ordered, didnt I read the menu? says the waiter. Same goes for my entree, mixed grill for $20, camed with ONE shrimp, one rolled lamb adana and a ton of chicken tikka grilled. I believe that I was jipped on my order, wish I ordered something else. The garlic naan and mango lassi was the best thing I had that evening, so my review is less than satisfactory. Won't be going back, unless you PAID me.

What a find! Recommend A+++
Pleasantly surprised! I decided to try Basera out after reading the reviews here on Menu Pages, and was not disappointed. As you first walk in, you are greeted by the friendly and courteous staff. Decor is pleasant and understated with just enough light to keep the cozy ambiance. Be prepared to look through the extensive menu which should suit even the most finicky of eaters. The host for that evening was very friendly and attentive, checking up often on our party to make sure everything was fine. Definitely an A+ for service. The food was delicious with decent portion sizes. I had the Chicken Tika Massala accompanied with Lamb Naan and chutney. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.
