Made reservations for 7pm on a Wednesday night. Arrived and were seated immediately. Space is nice - not a ton of tables crammed into a small space. My girlfriend and I ordered the pork meatballs and the parmesean and soppresatta for appetizers - excellent. My only complaint was there was far more cheese than meat - it would have been a nicer balance with more meat (or less cheese). For entrees, we both decided to have the "any two pastas" option. I've never seen this type of offer before and it is worth it! The portions are generous - pasatas arrive in two separate bowls and we shared all four. Our favorite was the mezze rigatoni, followed by the cheese tortellini. We also had the cavatelli and the fusili calabrese. All very good, but the rigatoni was the best. Dessert was chocolate cake, which was NOT flourless, which was great, because flourless chocolate cake has been done to death. I had two sodas and my girlfriend had a glass of wine. With tip, bill came to $114, which I thought was very reasonable. Pros: Nice space, even if it is a bit dark, great food, good tempo of service, outside seating. Cons: The bar area is right next to the restaurant, so we were treated to a super-drunk and annoying woman yelling and trying to make the whole place look at her. Our waiter was efficient, but completely joyless - no smiles, no banter, nothing. The food is amazing and the service (aside from a lack of sociability) is very effiicient. Can't beat the price and the two pasta deal is a great idea. Go and enjoy.

Their prix fixe menu is one of the great restaurant deals in town. Terrific food, good service, and very nice people running the room. My wife and I have been going here for several years and have never been disappointed.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Bar Vetro. We have lived in Florence, Italy for almost seven years, and have become very picky about Italian food. It was very good and a good value!

Live down the block and the food is consistently superb. Wait staff is great and attentive. Highly recomended for tasty italian food at very reasonable prices.

Found this place through menu pages and the reviews were absolutely right. Food was excellent, service was exactly what it should have been. I highly recommend this place and will absolutely go back.

Food is superb, service is first class, and maybe one of the most reasonable italian restaurants in all of manhattan.
