    Excellent!

After looking for a nice Italian restaurant in or near SOHO, I happened to come across Barolo here on menu pages. I was looking for something exactly with the type of atmosphere they had there, a garden, terrace, etc. It was excellent, restaurant was very nice, clean, and service was great and very attentive. Food was excellent as well, ordered Penne Vodka pasta, and Linguini with clams, dont remember exact names but over all food was great. Wine presentation and server was good also. Definitely recommend this place and definitely going back soon.

Some of the Worst Service I have Ever had

I am one to not complain at resturants, I actually don't eat out much so when I do eat out I really enjoy everything. I went to this place and I swear I felt like I was in the twlight zone. There was 1 waitress and 15 bus boys walking in the afternoon. Not only did we sit for at least 15 minutes but I had to ask to get our waitress and the lady I asked goes" oh yea I'm your waitress" She took our drink order and I was like ok this is much better. Then she was gone. I asked the bus boys for bread and water and they walked around like idiots and didnt do anything. The people behind us were complaing as well saying that they were waiting 30 mins to pay the bill. The manager was very busy EATING LUNCH AND DRINKING WINE! He sat on his butt and didn't do anything while I'm not kidding 15 bus boys sat around. I think I'm still angry just thinking about it and it was 2 weeks ago, we were there 3 hours and the resturant was completely empty only 4 tables

    Garden Dining

This restaurant is ideal for a warm summer night. Beautiful large outdoor garden, Sophisticated balcony over looking garden. Lovely restaurant, like a Hollywood set. Friendly attentive wait staff. Perfect - except for the food.

    Loved it all....

I've gone there for quite some time and I can't get enough.Every time I go there I'm treated great and the food is the best Italian food in SoHo .The drinks were fabulous too and even got a special one made just for me. During winter i can sit by the window and cuddle up with my date and just watch the snow fall while being served mouth watering food. In the spring time I can laugh and gossip with my friends in one of the most beutiful gardens in nyc while having cocktails and bread.Ba rolo is just the best in nyc no doubt about that.

    Rushed Customer

Food was good...service was ok but we were extremely rushed. The restaurant was loud due to a large party and they literally ran to give us our food. I went for a romantic Christmas meal, but it fell short on that department. There are more romantic places out there to take a hot date.

    Underwhelming

Barolo is one of the finest spaces in New York City. A large, open front area, the giant patio, etc. It should be one of the hottest, hippest restaurants in New York City. But it's not. Why? Because everything else about Barolo is second rate - at best. The food is utterly ordinary - I could try to explain individual problems but how do you explain Blah? Few things are awful, but nothing is great and most things are ordinary. But the biggest problem is that Barolo thinks it's far better than it actually is. Service is second-rate: servers are usually competent at best. But worst of all is the attitude of the management: Barolo is the sort of place that, if you come in when the restaurant is completely empty, the hostess will stick you at the worst table in the place.

    great restaurant in soho

It's a bit pricey, but it is inarguably one of the best places to eat in Soho. Best beef stew ever. Anywhere. Focaccia bread basket is delicious with some olive oil. Atmosphere in the courtyard is second to none, I find myself forgetting I'm in NYC. Service has always been friendly. If you're looking for a great date spot, this is it.
