I've been 4 times since New Year's and it's always fabulous. It's intimate without out being a secret; fun without the circus and delightful every single time. I've had the ravioli, the tuna tartar, the mesclun salad (enough to feed a family), the steak, the skewered shrimp, the pork and the monk fish. Everything was cooked incredibly well. The drink menu is long and delicious and the wine and beer is very inexpensive. The staff is friendly and attentive, the crowd is beautiful without being pretentious and the price is affordable. I'm recommending it to everyone.

I went there with my wife and friends last night and had a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed the salmon with leek fondue and the juicy flavorful strip steak that my wife had as well as a duck with pomegranite sauce. The music and the overall ambiance is hip but relaxed and the staff were really friendly and inviting. I will definitely go back.

I heard about Barmarche from some of my friends who live in the neighborhood. I went there with another couple last night and had a wonderful experience. The food was quite good, especially the strip steak and the cheeseburger. The asparagus salad was also very good. (Sorry, I am not a true gourmand so I can't get into elaborate descriptions you might read in other reviews). All I know was that the food was really good, the atmosphere was cool, and the drinks were great with many interesting choices. Definitely worth a return trip...check it out, you won't be sorry.

This would be my third time at Barmarche. The brunch is unquestionable. For dinner, it's a new restaurant coming into their own. The cooks take time to get the food out, so be prepared. But good things come to those who wait. And without question: the food is amazing. Handsdown one of the best new places in the neighborhood. Bravo.

I went to Barmarche on Sat night with a group of six. Fiends of ours ate there last week and said the food was good and had a great time. We had about a 45 min wait because we did not make reservations but that was fine because they had a great bar with with all kinds of erotic drinks. I went their about a year ago when it was Cafe Lebowitz and it was really bad so I was suprised with what they have done to the place - it looks real cool. I had the Braised beef short ribs which was really good. My wife had the Salmon which she said was out of this world. Everyone said thier dinners were good except for the Hanger Steak - it was real small and not worth the money. They would be better off serving a strip steak and charging a little more. The staff were a lot of fun and we wound up staying after dinner and drank at the bar for the rest of the night. They played good music and the bartender was a lot of fun.
