I find barmarche too noisy and overcrowded at dinner time, but during brunch, or lunch during the weekdays its perfect easy food. everything i've ever had there is great, although the service is kinda wacky. However, they are always very accomdating and its just part of going to the neighborhood restaurant. The food is simple, but for some reason tastes so good. i highly recommend if you're in the area. not sure if i would make the trip to try this place on purpose though.

Took a friend here for her birthday 2 weeks ago and had an unpleasant experience. I had been to Barmarche a year ago and didn't like it but she did so I thought to give it another chance. Made a reservation for 9:15 on a Friday didn't get seated to 9:50. We were starving and wanted to go to Spring Street Natural but the hostess offered us a free round of drinks, so we waited. First we had no waitress, then because they couldn't coordinate, we had two at the same time and they cancelled each other and we once again had no waitress. We had to ask a busser for bread which is always annoying. They took our drink orders and we each got a drink-3 of us- (the sangria is actually very good), and an app and 3 entrees. My friends pork was chewy and my shrimp tacquitos were salty. Their fries are very good though and my friend's burger was good. Overall, unimpressed again. We were never asked if we wanted another drink either. We get the bill and the 3 drinks are still on it. I try to get the hostess' attention so she can comp our drinks and the waitress tells me "She meant she would give you a round on us". They then proceed to make us 3 drinks of whatever they choose. 3 poor, tiny weak strawberry drinks which none of us touched out of proteset. We were ready to leave! Who does that? And they didn't even ask what we wanted.

Went there for brunch on Sunday for the first time. I was skeptical at first but was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional food. Had the fried Calamari , Tuna Burger w. fries and a bloody mary. All of which were way above average! Will try not to go back EVERY weekend!! Loved it!

I've ordered delivery from everyone in the hood and Barmarche always ends up being the most delicious overall delivery option. The only problem is the delivery time. It seems that it most of the time they tell you it will take around 30 minutes, but it ends up taking over an hour. Even took 90 minutes one time (although, they rectified the situation by picking up the entire meal, which was AMAZING customer service, I must say). Last couple times have been quicker...around 50 minutes, but still generally too long. But with food this damn good, it's worth the wait. Seriously, you can't go wrong with virtually any item on the menu and brunch items are particularly good.

Barmarche has a great decor and it's in a good spot. The food was not spectacular, but it was quite tasty. I had the lamb shank, and it was just plain good. The problem was that the service was very dissapointing. I waited ten minutes before anyone came even close to our table, and even then call over the server and then I had to ASK if I could order a drink, as if that was out of the ordinary. I decided on a mojito. I swear, they must have had to grow the mint themselves, because it took forever until it came over. I actually had the time to ask if they had taken the order. Soon after, my friend and I ordered food, which came very quickly. Anyways, the experience was average, a balance between awful service and pretty yummy food.

I've been to barmarche on several occasions and have always been impressed. Most recently I enjoyed some late night cocktails with a couple of friends. I'm a big fan of drinks with acai and barmarche doesn't disappoint. On another occasion I had a one of the specials of the evening which was a wonderful pork tenderloin with spicy mustard - bring it back! The atmosphere is warm and cozy in the winter and not too loud. I'll definitely be back soon.

My boyfriend and I got there around 4pm on Saturday for a late lunch and we got seated right away but after we ordered, it seemed like they forgot about us. we waited for about 40mins until we decided we were going to leave since the waiter never came back to ck on us. the very nice manager came right over, apologized and comp'd our meal for us which finally came out 10mins later. the French onion was quite tasty but a bit sweet, I enjoyed my shrimp and avocado salad, and my boyfriends pulled pork sandwich was great. the manager was really nice, did the right thing, and even sent over free mimosas for us. despite the waiter forgetting us, I’d still go back bc the manager was really cool and the food was good. maybe we went on an off day?
