Great homestyle cooking
Great food, just like moms cooking, large menu, friendly staff, best brunch on weekends, big lines, waiting list for outdoor seating, bring your dog they get a bowl of water with lemon too!

Not Great
I can't comment on the atmosphere, as I ordered delivery...but the food was dissapointing. I ordered the Avocado and Turkey omelette with bacon on the side, and my boyfriend ordered the Italian hero with spicy fries. My omelette was bland, and the egg was very rubbery. And the bacon was not good either- too tough. My boyfriend reports that the hero was too heavy on the cheese and overall very mediocre. I will say that the delivery was very fast. Still- I will not be returning to The Barking Dog.

Good for dogs not people
My title holds true. You can dine with your pooch but the food is subpar. I had the chicken sandwich which was dry. I also ordered a beer, which took 20 minutes to arrive. Then our waitress decided not to bring the check for another 20 minutes. The atmosphere is ok since they do have outdoor seating but the service and food are lacking.

Great american dining
Excellent dinner, best brunch, and if the weather is good, eat in the outdoor seating and yes you can bring your dog--barking dog is dog friendly!
