great food
i've been to this place so many times !! the food is great specially the burguers & sandwiches. & onion rings. =)..the salads are big..try the cobb salad, is my favorite ..i will definetely recomend this place. reasonablle prices & great food

its okay
i live right above so sitting outside and getting a glass of wine is nice. but to go there to enjoy your food, it isnt the best place. the service is touch and go. sometimes they are great other times the food is cold and not good. its a very touch and go place. if you want to go here, go at night. its less busy and they close at 11. the spinach, mushroom, and pine nut breakfast special is amazing, burgers are okay, and salads are okay. other than that dont verture out to different dishes or you will be disappointed.

Mediocre Brunch with Service Problems
Regulars no more at Barking Dog...food is decent but the wait staff leaves a lot to be desired. Rude when sitting you and then have no sense of urgency in taking your order or bringing your meal. Getting a refill or even paying for your meal entails hunting down and shouting at the waiter/ress. Paying is most annoying as they make you go to the front to pay only to then walk away to the back of the restaurant to swipe your card. For promoting itself as a friendly, neighbourhood diner it is most pretentious and they do not treat their customers in the manner that they should. Have stuck with this diner for a while in the hope that the service and ambience would improve but we shall be returning no more.

Great neighborhood place
Love the grilled salmon sandwich, the burgers, and the crabcake. Good solid food and reasonable prices.

Subpar waitstaff
Very delicious breakfast I had there but the waiter was a bit aloof. He never told my girlfriend that they no longer had blueberry muffins and took it upon himself to bring her a bran muffin instead without ever asking her. What a major faux pas that was.

It stinks when you don't cook at home...
Wow.... We used to order from this place when we were hungover or just too lazy to cook. We just ordered the Fried Chicken and the Fried Chicken Salad. Not good. The fried chicken dinner was ungodly: The breading was thick and rubbery. There was a hint of curry or some East Asian Spice. Not the promise of Buttermilky hominess that was promised in the menu. No crispness, no love, like a horror show tv dinner. The fried chicken salad showcased the same foul rubbery fowl in a nice big salad. I should have skipped the chicken. BTW...the once, decent mac and cheese in now a soupy mess.

Order Brunch or a Cobb Salad Only!!
My boyfriend and I are regulars for brunch, and order the cobb salad quite often. Today we decided to try some items from the lunch menu, and were very disappointed with our food. My boyfriend had a burger and wings, and I had the chicken tenders and mozarella sticks. The mozarella sticks were cold and limp, and the chicken tenders were bland and unappetizing. (I mean, how can you mess up chicken tenders!!) The wings had no sauce on them, and the ranch (??) dressing that came with it was runny and tasteless. The burger was decent, and was the only edible thing to eat. I would not recommend delivery from this restaurant, or any of the items listed above.
