Fantastic Find On UWS
We're always treated really well here---from the host to the bartender to the waiter to the busboys. I love this place. It's a real treat to have a place like this in our boring, stuffy neighborhood. We always order the same thing because we love it so much: sausage + broccoli rabe, and the artichoke risotto. Fantastic. And I always enjoy the wines. Tonight, when I ordered a dessert to go, the waiter ran to the diner next door to pick us up two plastic spoons. What a doll!

Disappointed
We had read the reviews on this restaurant and were looking forward to stopping in for dinner after a Lincoln Center performance. I was disappointed ......the food was excellent, but the portions were miniuscule insofar as one crostini was $6.00 and the size of a fifty cent piece. My husband's sweet sausage and broccoli rabe was delicious and nicely portioned. However, the wine by the glass is pricey, in so much as they don't pour a full glass. We're not cheap, but come on !!!! Also, turn the music down we could hardly hear one another. Wouldn't return.

excellent wine bar!
What a great place - so easy to just miss - but don't! The italian wine selection was delicious, and the cheese... the BEST I've eaten outside of Italy! Don't miss it!

All around perfection
Great place! Perfect for a date or a night out with a group of friends. No complaints. Highly recommend the Veal Meatball dish, though everything we had was delicious. The atmostphere was excellent... great lighting, great music (which wasn't too loud), and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I will visit Barcibo often!

small gem near lincoln center
we stumbled on this conveniently located little wine bar this evening and we were thoroughly delighted! great wine selection and excellent italian trattoria food. portions are reasonably generous, and the cuisine tends to be light - making this an excellent stop for light dining, late nights, or tapas-style sharing with wine. we found the service friendly and effective and the atmosphere was trendy and summery. overall, the lincoln center neighborhood can be either heavy on price or light on quality. barcibo avoids these two pitfalls for a fresh, delicious and quite reasonable neighborhood meal.
