Like to pay for people watching?
Take an outdoor table and enjoy a glass of wine, maybe a few olives or similar nibble, and take in the above average people parade.I made the mistake of ordering a small grocery store quality arugula with red onions and paid $9! and a scoop of ricotta for $8! All too, too diner-ish for this developed palate.

Great UWS wine bar!
I haven't had a full dinner but have been several times for wine and apps. The food is fantastic! I'm really picky when it comes to wine- I couldn't make a decision and the waitress was kind enough to give me a few tastes without me even asking! Overall great experience.

Great crostini
This place is great for a friendly bottle of wine and snacks. The Crostini's are amazing. Have to try the ricotta and home roasted sweet peppers. Service is a little slow at times but that should not stop you from coming back.

Amazing!!
The food at Barcibo Enoteca is really good. I had the mushroom risotto and the crostini. They were unbelievable! I love the atmosphere s well - it is such a fun and relaxing. I also love all the bottles on the wall. Definitely go and try this place out!

What happened??
Been to BE a few times and LOVED everything, especially the mushroom risotto, veal meatball small plate, the salads and of course the wine selection. Last night was a whole different story - food was off, the mushroom risotto contained sand and chewy mushrooms and the eggplant small plate contained little eggplant and unripened tomatoes. Service was off also. Not sure if I will return.

Fantastic Find On UWS
We're always treated really well here---from the host to the bartender to the waiter to the busboys. I love this place. It's a real treat to have a place like this in our boring, stuffy neighborhood. We always order the same thing because we love it so much: sausage + broccoli rabe, and the artichoke risotto. Fantastic. And I always enjoy the wines. Tonight, when I ordered a dessert to go, the waiter ran to the diner next door to pick us up two plastic spoons. What a doll!

Disappointed
We had read the reviews on this restaurant and were looking forward to stopping in for dinner after a Lincoln Center performance. I was disappointed ......the food was excellent, but the portions were miniuscule insofar as one crostini was $6.00 and the size of a fifty cent piece. My husband's sweet sausage and broccoli rabe was delicious and nicely portioned. However, the wine by the glass is pricey, in so much as they don't pour a full glass. We're not cheap, but come on !!!! Also, turn the music down we could hardly hear one another. Wouldn't return.
