Let me begin with the positives: •Lively pleasant atmosphere (Perhaps a little too dark for us). •Service was extremely attentive. •Mezze platter of 5 and warm bread were tasty and delicious. •Duck was good and cooked to order. •Desserts of little donuts, a plate of chocolate desserts were good. The halvah dessert was the best of the three. •Now, the negatives: •The tuna appetizer was bland. •Only the red beets in the beet salad were tasty. •The lamb chops were so salty that I couldn't eat them. In all fairness, when I told the waiter that they were way too salty, he brought the manager over, who was both gracious and willing to either re-do them or to bring me something else if I preferred that, and assured us that they would be removed from the bill, even if I chose to do nothing. I decided not to try anything else. •The tiny brussel sprouts sides were so salty that all I could taste was salt. Sadly, the negatives outweighed the positives. If only the chef did not use such an abundance of salt, I believe that this could have been a different review.

Fantastic dinner! Food was delicious and arrived really quickly and piping hot! Our party had scallops and margheritta flat bread...with sauteed spinach and asparagus as sides. Wonderful...will be back!

My husband and I go to Barbounia almost every Sunday for Brunch and quite often for dinner. We have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, and we absolutely love the decor and atmosphere of the people and fun crowd. The drinks are delicious and the service is excellent.

It's a shame this restaurant has the music at a decible level that is deafening. It is pretty and the food is good. I wouldn't go back because it was impossible to have enjoyable dinner conversation because the music was so loud it hurt my ears. Too bad.

The food was Sooo salty I turned into a salt lick. My seed crusted tuna was hard as a rock. The salmon had a good minty flavor but was dry. The hummus tasted like kidney beans. The room was overly loud even as the music was low and there were few diners. it was so loud in the room the waitress had difficulty taking our orders. Waitstaff was efficient, but slightly pushy. there was insufficient lighting in the bathroom area. it was so dark I could not touch up my make up since I could barely see my own reflection in the mirrors. The space is pretty, with classy decorations. the price suited the menu, but not the flavors. overall a restaurant worth forgetting.

My Husband and I ate at Barbounia last night and had a great time. The service was great and the atmosphere was so beautiful with all the candles. And to top it all off the food was great too. I can't wait to go back and try something else

Despite the fact that at 2pm on a Sunday it's difficult to tell if it was 2am simply given the noise, the crowd, the music, and the soire-like atmosphere, I totally loved this place. The food was delish. The middle eastern eggs are higly recommended. I even started putting tahini on my eggs from that pt on. This is a great place for large groups, but IF you want to go w/a date, they'd better be someone you know quite well b/c it can be a bit noisy for two newbies to chat/get to know each other. The $15 extra gets you unlimited mimosas, bellinis, champagne - a big plus....the only thing that killed me were these "manhattan moms" who sit at the bar, w/their 3 yr old in tow drinking an OJ, as they down bellinis w/their girl-friends (the ones that are single and 40 yrs old), as both adults are getting sloshed.
