italiens do not burn their pizza black
the pizza is burnt almost every time I went. this seems to be hip, but it does not taste good and is unhealthy. also, the dough gets saggy and chewy very quickly. chewy pizza with black, burned spots has nothing to do with italy, it is just unappetizing. great atmosphere, great service, great ingredients

crust?
The pizza is delicious and would be supberb but for one thing. I can't be certain but I suspect the crust is perfect until they serve it to you on a dinner plate rather than on a pan or metal tray. The crust gets soggy this way and it takes away from an otherwise great pie.

(Almost) perfect!!!
Of course this is subjective, but a few things that most patrons would agree on : the pizza is one of the best in New York. It is not covered in cheese, but a quite authentic Italian style beautiful combination of a delicious guey dough, a fruity tomato sauce, superb flor de latte and high quality olive oil. The staff is a group of extremely friendly and attentive people, no matter how busy the restaurant gets. The music is jazz of the best kind, Trane, Miles, Wes...until suddenly the indie stuff hits like a greeting of artistic confusion and cultural mediocrity from Williamsburg - and that in musically so rich Crown Heights - in a place that does EVERYTHING right, from the lovely salads to the great wine selection.

Excellent pizza and deliciously potent cocktails!
Ever since meeting the owners and taking a sneak peek at the beautifully renovated multi-level space, I was in high anticipation of their grand opening. I've since been three times and loved every visit. Every pizza I've nearly tried has been delicious--especially the Margherita ($11), Arugula ($13) and Four Cheese with Pepperoni ($16). They have an outstanding happy hour deal for their already reasonably-priced cocktails ($10, $8 during happy hour) and the atmosphere is relaxed and beautifully rustic. I'm so thankful they're walking distance and open so late!

Best restaurant on Franklin
Amazing brick oven pizza, timely & attentive service, great layout and space decor. Really impressed.

Truly Amazing
I just can't believe that the best pizza I've ever had is from a new place on Franklin Ave in Brooklyn. I know that sounds weird -- sorry. Anyway, I went with friends and we had an assortment of different pizzas and they were all so incredibly delicious. I must go back again soon!
