    Delightful little place

I was a guest of one of friends. What a surprise. I ordered an eggplant appetizer that was quite tasty. It was served cold, and was more tasty than eggplant dishes served at noted Greek and Turkish restaurants in NYC. The lamb stew was very tasty and tender. Even our server, Gary, saw to it that my dining companion had food prepared without salt and other ingredients that might have been injurious to her health. The fresh Mint Tea was actually brewed from tea leaves that had been infused with fresh mint. As we left, we noticed that the other patrons still dining, appeared to be regular customers and were quite pleased.

    Yum!!

So flavorful. Amazing atmosphere. The servers hovered a little bit, though. Very good hummus! And my favorite dish--chicken bastilla!! Don't miss that!

Don't waste your money! Stay away

Stale bread started off the night. Both kinds of bread were stale. Tasty appetizer. The entrees were totally flavorless No taste whatsoever. The lamb was tender, but it needed salt, pepper and flavoring of some kind. It was beyond bland. The salmon was cooked nicely, but the vegetables with it were limp and overcooked beyond recognition. All in all -- go to Morocco or eat somewhere else. It's a "never again" place as far as I'm concerned.

    Great service, great food!

On a visit to NYC we came here on our first night as it was close to our hotel. They were closed for a private party but Alam, the general manager let us eat anyways (with approval from the party goers). They make all of their food on premise; this includes the couscous and the merguez sausage, both of which are very good and authentic. The second night a few of our friends had flown in and loved couscous so we went again. Alam was amazing, he knew us right away gave us a great table and threw in a desert on the house for our understanding the night before. If you ask me, we owed him! This place has authentic good, reasonably priced food (for NYC) in an upscale yet cozy atmosphere. I will come again on my next visit!

    Unmet expectations

The food was bland and overcooked (Couscous au Poulet). Very crowded diningroom layout

    amazing!

Me and my boyfriend absolutely loved it! i love middle eastern food and trying new places and this is def a place to try. the staff is very friendly and attentive and the service is quick but not too quick. there is variety on the menu so there is something for everyone even if people may be skeptical of the morroccan food. i thought it was amazing and defintely a place to try!
