    Not recommended

The food wasn't good enough to justify the poor service. The way they treated us (utter indifference) I figured the food must be dynamite. Wrong. With so many good restaurants in the neighborhood, don't waste your time or money.. Nice outdoor space, though.

    What?

Not sure where the other reviewers ate but I stopped in based on their recommendations and thought the overall experience was underwhelming to say the least. The food was mediocre, they had a crappy jazz band blasting live music about midway through the meal and what seemed like the two owners were standing around while customers were waiting for bills and drinks. They only seemed to be helping out when it involved their friends. The bartender on the other hand had to contend with just about everything else. I felt bad for the guy. Food could be their saving grace but the dishes I got seemed thrown together, similar to the same disinterested front of house. I guess this place needs to figure out if its a bar or a restaurant. Or maybe I need a clue from the name.

Excellent Brunch / Dinner / Late night

I went to this restaurant for brunch on sunday afternoon and my party and I had an excellent experience. Great selection of items to choose from to fit all palates and tastes. Followed this visit up with a late night snack the next Saturday night after returning from Manhattan. Again it really hit the spot (Steak sandwich was divine). Yesterday, we tried it out for dinner as it is close and the rain had altered our plans. We started with the fried cheese and carpaccio both were great. I then had the double-cut pork chop which was the best I've had in a long while - it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My girlfriend had the lamb which was also executed to perfection. What can I say; this has now become my new favorite local spot.

    amazing brunch

the interior is very well done. The place has so many artictectural details. Last time when I was there they mentioned about the brunch and I decided to try last Sunday. The best brunch in Williamsburg. Menu has quite interesting items. We have tried the broken eggs with asparagus...to die for...and grilled sausage platter. Enormous portions, carefully done...excellent cocktails...try before they get a big hit.

    Better Than Zipe Zapi

The layout and decor is much improved. Service was a little weird. They sat us at the end of a large table with one seat between us and another group of people. Then when it got crowded, they sat this really loud and annoying couple next to us. The woman's elbow kept on hitting me while she tried to cut her food. I don't mind sitting at a table with other people, but I need more personal space than was provided. The food was so so. The sardine appetizer was subpar. The entrees were decent, and the wine was good. Still, I probably won't go here again. Same price as similar restaurants that are of a much higher quality.
